Hi
Have a 2006 A6 with standard radio (not BOSE) it has the 6 cd in glove box, I would like to be able to play music from my phone or memory stick through the system. What do I need to do and is it an easy option ?

Does it have an MMI socket in the glove box? If so one of these might do the trick. It works in my '58 plate which does have a Bose system but as far as I'm aware the Audi MMI interface should be the same.

That's nice, but my cd player on the right of the glove box and nothing on the left of the cd player.
Can that be purchased and easily fitted ?
 
I'd imagine so, most of the MMI upgrades can be retro fitted at a price! I wouldn't know where to look though, sorry.
 
Hi, I want to do the exact same mod to mine mate, all I wanted was to be able to play my music off sd card again but as B5NUT says that the AMI. Upgrade as he suggested is the only way to go I don't want iPod or iPhone in mine just sd card or USB but there does. It seem to be an option just to do this. I did think that you could get a CD player with the sd car slots in it like the one below and just straight swap it over with my 6 disc but someone will probably correct me as knowing my luck I am wrong .
Just really begrudge paying just shy of £300 for iPod connector when that's not really what I want .

That sounds like I wanted, I don't want I phone connection, just something to plug a memory stick or phone into. Was going to leave the CD player in since it is used to update the system. Have you had any joy with it

No mate no joy to date
Looks like the only option avail is AMI
or Dension. Crazy to be honest that this is so expensive to do ! It was much easier with my sd cards in my B7 RNSE,
If either of us do find an alternative by a miracle happening lets promise to let each other know ,
