hi im fairly new to the audi scene and picked up a 2.0tdi b8 saloon. im slowly modding it and its needing a wack with the lowering stick.

i cant do coilovers as the misses is driving it every day and shes an animal lol and i cant afford air obviously.

i've seen some eibach springs £120 lowering by 40mm and the car will be going on 19'' wheels at the same time but im woundring if it will clear speed bumps still?

TBH depends on how severe the speedbumps are. Some peoples Idea of speedbumps are tiny compared to the mountains we seem to have around where I live. My car is probably around 35- 40mm lowered and I can get over pretty much any of these speed bumps just need to position the car correctly for some of them to avoid rubbing the underside. My car is on Pro kit springs.
I run slightly smaller tyres on my car than standard though 235 / 45 /17 so they give me around 6mm less ground clearance than something like a 245/40/18 would. When I put my winter wheels on with 225 / 50 / 17 tyres the extra ground clearance means I get over any of the speed bumps without issues.
The sportline red springs are lower than the Pro kit ones. It's not just the change of spring that lowers the car factor in the tyre diameter .

If the tyre diameter were to say reduce by 8mm you would get 4mm less ground clearance on top of what you lose with the springs.

Karl.

il be on 235 or 225/45r19 so im guessing the extra 2 inch in height of rim should massively help me. my mk5 jetta was 100mm lower all round and i coundt go anywhere.

Depends how low you like .

Either Eibach Pro or Sportline , no ground clearance problems I would imagine with 19's .

Are you sure those tyre sizes you have quoted are right they are around 5-6% bigger than the standard tyre size. If you are running those size tyres you won't have any issues at all.
I thought people typically ran 235 / 35 /19 not 235 /45 /19

yea im not 100% sure on the tyre size yet as im waiting till next month to buy wheels.
springs

Run adjustable springs you can change the height if you have problems then.

Yea but you lose the comfort plus if I know I can make it lower il never stop lol. Just a bit more haha

This is the look I'm going for but with different rims
