I think I'm gona go for vinyl wrap I think it might be better wearing in the long run, the plasti dip looks good but heard a few story's about it chipping and pealing
 
Not got th bem on as yet,been too busy with moving house.

Blacking the rear lights does make a nice difference. Did the same myself a couple months ago with the tints.

Clean pressed plates to be added too hopefully?

Chop did you use vinyl tint from ebay or was it a tint spray?

I would like just a subtle light tint on my tail lights so it breaks them up from the red paint

Spray tint Ma man, mine has 3 or 4 coats so 1 or 2 prob get the effect your after

Do you just spray straight on or do you need to do any surface prep first? Also can it be removed at a later stage?
 
I didn't have any panel wipe so I just gave lights a wash with hot water then dried them off, I took them off car too

I'm not sure how handy it would come off though
 
so its been all quiet on the black up front for a while and its because i'v been thinking :smirk: well inbetween wheel bearings and exhausts, anyway

operartion black it up is being toned down a bit, i'm my battle to be different i see a lot of people blacking out there chrome bits and darking there wheels and have decided the chrome detailing will make a stand ( for now ) :fearful:

first stage this wkd will be return of the chrome fog light surrounds and if that goes well then next step will be the chrome strip along the back bumper, chrome and black supercharger badges have already been added to the wings where the V6T badges used to be and a black and red S4 badge is on its way for the boot, i'm still not happy with my wheels so either a refurb in bright silver or a new set will be on the cards in the near future but as for now i'll add pics of the retun to chrome over the wkd as it happens and hopefully not change my mind

The black rear defuser, lights and front grill will be staying but i feel being a black car it needs broken up a bit so here we go again ! :tongueclosed:
 
So today fog light surrounds back to chrome, 20min with a Stanley and some turps and paint is off

Rear diffuser primed again and some anthracite spray ordered, just wasn't liking the all black look

@matt_cunningham1985 hi mate black out is in full swing again

Fog surrounds re blacked, rear diffuser bar, badges, rings, tail pipes all black and some new wheels, made a build thread "Chops s4 " to keep track of everything

New wheels fitted, next plan is to get the mirrors roof bars and window surrounds wrapped black....

Car's looking great! Just realised you're from East Lothian too - I grew up in Longniddry.
