2009 rear lights on 2004 3dr A3

Hi,

As per title, I know its probably been done before, but can't find and answer regarding if its a straight swap, or if new wiring is needed or coding. Can anyone shed some light into this if wanting to fit 2009/my lights on a 2004 3dr A3?

I didnt do it but i have plan to do that. As i understood its straith swap, its the same thing like old one.
But as i said i didnt do it, so take my words not for sure.

3 door lights are straight swap. no coding needed.
you can get the 09 ones or the darker 11 plate ones.

You do need a couple of different bulbs tho,can't remember if it's side and fog or not.
Euro car parts do oem ones about 65 pound each too.

I've ordered some today and picked one up and they are straight swap. Different bulbs from what I can see are h21w can't remember the other.
