Hi all,
Ive put down a deposit on a 08 a4. The car has loads of extras including sat nav with the button saying TEL, but i was told by audi themselves it does not have bluetooth as an extra.
My question is, can i still connect my phone to make and recieve calls from the car? If not, what is that button for?

The car might have "phone prep", a wired connection that allows you to hook up your phone using a suitable cradle for your handset. Have a look in the storage tray under the folding centre armrest.

Oh, and welcome to Audisport.net! Hope you enjoy the forum and the car.

Of course, we won't believe it exists until you post pictures of it. :)

Thanks for the welcome!
I havent taken it yet so cant post any pics, will do as soon as i have it.

There is nothing in the centre console. Only thing it has is the tel button where you control the sat nav and i was told by audi it doesnt have bluetooth, so i cant figure out if i can connect my mobile to the car.

|Button is always there, doesn;t mean you have phone or BT connectivity. If you press the TEL button it wil tell you if its not installed or no phone conencted.

@NHN is the guy to speak to for retro fits, he come highly recomended, I nearly used in on my old S4 but bought an RS4 instead lol.

Surprised the car doesn't have BT Prep Low if it has Nav fitted from the factory. I thought they all did or was that from MMI 3G only?

Beat me to it, Geoff. Nigel (@NHN) is the man for the job.

I think MMI 2G has a separate Bluetooth module which might not be fitted, but the MMI 3G has it integrated in to the head unit. In some cases the Bluetooth just needs to be enabled using VCDS.
