I'm struggling to find anything specific about this and the 8V.
My S3 being my first Quattro car also, I want to seek the right advice from you guys who know a damn sight more than me.

I know on the older models and other Quattro models, you could pull a fuse or lift the handbrake 1 notch to disengage the Haldex thus allowing it to be put on a rolling road without issues but what's the crack with the s3 8v?

I want a power run now and then in due course after the fsr+
Plymouth is limited on rolling roads and reputation!

Will it go ok on a 4wd roller? As a local guy who has a tuning company, also installs Apr and customs map, has a 4wd roller which he demos his monster of an rs6 on...
Or do I need to make it 2wd to test, if so how?

Thanks.

As veeeight posted, that link will show you how to disengage haldex. You'll also read that your better off running it on a fwd dyno with haldex disabled as a few people have experienced odd looking graphs when using a 4wd dyno as the car gets a little confused with the surface!

Also is that garage one down Valley Road? Only heard of one guy doing APR in Plymouth!

Yes mate, Ryan down at Rh Tuning.

There's also a tvr specialist in Ivybridge who had a fwd rolling road to who knows his stuff.

That's it yeah, emailed him a few months back to ask about the stage 1 and an induction kit. Warranty dilemma has kept me away since then ha

As you've all said,it will actually run on a 4WD dyno, and at lower levels of tune, things generally look OK,but as you increase the power and torque, you start to get some very odd looking results, with dips in midrange torque, and spikes here and there.

Mine would never pull full load on a 4WD dyno, even with the Haldex in race mode, and AFAIk,Storm set mine up in 2WD mode.
