Purchased my A4 Avant just over 6 months ago now and love her, always had Audi's, Q3, A3 Sportback Black Editon and my last being a 2013 A4 Avant B8 Black Edition in Misano Pearl Red and I have to say this one I have now is the best so far.

After months of searching and selling my beloved Edition 30 I decided to go and look at this car only 20 mins down the road.
As soon as I pulled up I knew it was the one, I think it's Lava Grey, fully loaded company car so no expense spared with full Dealer S/H and every extra possible bar xenons.

Cruise control
Sunroof
Sat Nav
Under chair storage
Front/Rear parking sensors
Rear boot liner with reversible mat(perfect for the dog)
iPod docking station in glove box
Fridge in glove box( god knows why he paid for this)
Heated seats

Plus loads more.

Since owning it I've fitted 15mm rear spacers and have 10mm for the front on order, replaced all the interior lights for LED's including the front/rear footwell ones and treated her to a full detail which she needed as the paint was pretty bad with swirls etc.

The next thing is to refurb the alloys original colour or gunmetal grey? and fit Eibach Sportlines and she's finished. I was thinking about changing all the badges to gloss black including the SLine but still a little unsure. What do you guys think?

This weekend the EGR valve is coming off for a clean and new gaskets and seals then some BG244 and see how that goes.

Any tips or mods that people know or have done would be much appreciated.

is your 2wd or quattro, i ask as i tried 15mm on the rear and it was too much and i had inner arch isues, went to 10mm instead, rear hub centres are different between the two variants.

No it's a 2wd I did have issues getting the spacers on because of the hub pretuding out but popped the covers off the hubs and they fitted straight on. I've had the car fully loaded with family and also camping gear and no rubbing at all. I think once the springs are on it may be a different story when fully loaded though.

Its very nice mate but i think your drive should be wider.

Finally got round to doing the egr valve, and glad I did. The thing was caked in carbon at least 1/2" thick, so out came the Mr Muscle and elbow grease and an hour later it's like brand new. I definitely recommend replacing all three gaskes/seals as mine didn't look to healthy. Finally chucked in some BG244 after reading good reviews on here so it's just a case of seeing how it drives now.

The second picture worries me a little there was a fair amount of oil around the pipe is this normal?

TPI 12mm spacers arrived today think I got a pretty good deal with bolts £40. So now I'm running 15 rear and 12 front just have to get it lowered and it's done.

Mine is the same, I've been reassured by many mechanics it's fine

I need a new seal on one of mine....the one just under the compressor housing. I noticed it the other day when I took off my under tray to do something. My local VW specialist sells the seals for roughly £14 dependant on what size it is.

Finally managed to source some springs for £50, a quick clean and they are actually in pretty good condition. Now to just get them fitted.

Picked up another little bargain, BNIB Cupra Splitter for £30. Get the springs n splitter fitted Tuesday. Then it's just the wheels refurbed and mods are complete.

Had a few issues over the last few months, whilst driving to Birmingham the glow plug light started to flash and then it went into limp mode, so took it too my local VAG specialist who give it a once over and recommended it was the splines on the turbo sticking so flushed it with cleaner. I'm taking it up to Birmingham this weekend so we'll see if it has worked. While it was in I had the springs fitted and the lips on the discs cleaned up. I still have the intermittent power loss for a slight second whilst in 2/3rd just can't seem to get my head around it.

Had to remove the 15mm spacers from the rear as there was just too much rubbing. So put the 12mm on from the front and there is only slight catching on big dips in the road but we'll see how we get on on the trip to Birmingham. Eventually once the 15mm are sold I will buy some 10mm for the front and remove the arch liner bolt which should be just right.

Just made the biggest mess up ever, after getting a good deal on a full set of 12mm spacers I decided to sell my black TPi 12mm ones I had in the rear so the they were all the same make and color. Big Mistake!
They don't fit over the rear hub (typical). Think I may have to cut the center bit down by about 4mm to fit them on flush. And I have already sold my TPi ones.

I have the same car and engine but a saloon, kept having problem after problem with limp mode. Dpf delete, remap and egr delete best mods i have done, transformed the car completeley and have had no more problems 13 months on.

Yeah soldier, she's beautiful. Like the ride height! I've got the black special edition too and want mine as low as yours. Do I only need springs like yours or do I need all the other stuff? Sorry new to this mod stuff. 1st time I've been able to afford a nice car worthy of a few tweaks.

Smidger I just changed the springs as the shocks were in fairly good condition. Some say you should change the shocks too but I haven't. I only intend on keeping her till June then buying a tax free Q5 to go back to Germany with. All she needs is the wheels refurbed and a good machine polish and she's good.

A few spare hours today so decided to give her a clean remove the spacers to save the rubbing with weight and fit the roof box ready for the trip up north next week.

Soldier lad she looks fine. What splitter is on the front? A cupra? She sits well and looks nice with a spit and polish!

Nice easy day at work today so got the Auto Glym Gel out and gave the engine a good clean.

Thought I would give her a mini valet courtesy of my local car wash and have to say I'm pretty impressed. She hasn't been cleaned since before xmas.

Still having dramas getting the rear spacers to fit flush over the hub, I think the only thing left to do is cut a bit of the centre of the hub to get a flush fit. Has anyone done this before was thinking an angle grinder as hack saw will take a bit of time.

looking very nice chap, there are a couple of other brands of spacers out there that are stated as being a straight fit without issues, i'll look back at my list and post them up, otherwise maybe just get a 4" angle grinder out, best with a super thin disc if you are looking to get off just a small amount.

So threaders with it just fitted the 15mm to the rear for a while but tried the 12mm on the front and rear and no go thinking of just revving them off completely.
