Recently purchased a 2012 Rs3 8P 25k on the clock and I'm really chuffed with it after upgrading from a S3.

I've noticed a few issues since driving it and have already booked it in to Audi whilst it's under warranty.

I ran a scan on it and I had several faults on the car.

1 - 02619 - communications wire adapter set
(After some research it appears as though this is a common issue since the RSNE software update). Will not reset.

2- I have an iPhone 6 and the lightening connector won't connect to my phone in order for me to play my music. Not sure if this ties in with the fault above (02619) just seems a bit ironic. Anyone else have the same issue? I did read that iPhone 6 have issues with the MMI system.

3- 00448 - Haldex clutch pump (V181) (research shows that when this fails the car isn't running at AWD.) I reset this and have since drove the car a few hundred miles and run another scan and this hasn't returned.

4- Vibration through the steering wheel when braking but I have read numerous threads on this very common issue. When I purchased the car the pads/discs were changed approximately 1k miles ago. The discs have the 'B' on them along with the Audi campaign NSF arch mod. So I'm going to see what they have to say at my local dealer.

5- the glove box damper has failed, I assume the previous owner always used the lightening adapter (doesn't work now) hence why the glove box just drops. I have never had one of these failed on my A3 & S3 but I'm sure Audi will see this as wear & tear or damage.

Any information or experiences i would appreciate.

TBH you've covered all of them anyway, rns-e software update shouldn't be a problem at all tbh, ami cable maybe an issue but just let audi deal with it all if warranty covered :)

What do you make of the Haldex clutch pump? Regrettably I shouldn't of reset it just so they could change it as a matter of precaution. Would this be something that would just return when driven? Still to date it hasn't returned.

Hi Jay

Haldex clutch pump is common
Had exactly the same on mine, loss of traction, ESP coming on when accelerating
Get it in to Audi it'll be fixed under warranty.

Vibration could be pad deposits on the front discs

Lot of RS 3 owners report this issue.

Unfortunately Audi don't seem to know what to do with it.

^ even though I've reset it? I did take a snap of it when I scanned the car. I've driven it since too and it hasn't returned. I wish I left it present

Cheers

If the esp is kicking in trust me it'll return

Either that or it's recently had a Haldex pump and the lazy dealer hasn't cleared the codes.

Good point. Unfortunately no one will tell me anything at the moment as I'm still waiting for the V5 so Audi CS are keeping lips Cush on what's been done so far

Look at the mileage Jay on the second screenshot is that less than on it currently ?
If so it's an old fault log

Jay did you do an auto scan with them codes present? if so check logs folder as new vcds update auto saves the auto scan

Yes I did do an auto scan. Ah brilliant. I did do the update before the scan too. I take it the folders will be obvious to find? Didn't really look to much around just wanted to get the scan done

Yes easy to find if not in ross-tech windows start menu just go to the drive C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Scans
