All went well during the handover anyway. We set up the PAYG SIM card at the dealership as the salesman had never done it in practise so was keen to set it up. No 30-PIN MMI cable in stock for my iPod Classic so one on order to be posted to me, but got the cable pack for USB and iPhone 6 anyway. Top up oil, Audi umbrella and a nice bottle of champagne presented to me on collection. No super unleaded as none available at the local garage but a full tank nevertheless so after this it will get V-power.

B&O sounds great through bluetooth anyway whilst i wait for the MMI cable (no crackle that I could hear of anyway!). I MAY have heard the feint wastage rattle a little - if it was then it won't bother me anyway, i had no music on during my drive home so could hear every squeak of bum on leather, or to be more precise every gear upshift :)

Been through all the menu's and (think) i've got most things set up how i want them to be, but obviously need to see how everything looks at night and check the LED's and interior lighting settings.

A minor DAB radio query posted separately but other than that i'll find things out as I go along I guess!

Woohoo !! - car looks awesome @sunscreemer

Thanks mate, i'm delighted with it. Not been for much of a run yet, rain held off when i collected then rained on way home but then stopped so I could take the photos. Looking forward to a longer run and a bit of a blast, so far taking it easy in comfort mode ;-)

Solved my DAB query - i listed the stations A-Z then i could save the two independently (then change back from A-Z again). Just connected my iPhone via WLAN and it's far better than Bluetooth, full access to all playlists, album art etc. Sounds fantastic so i'll not miss the iPod classic while i wait for the cable. No doubt i'll be tweaking sound settings etc for ages but already a very comfortable place to be. Very impressed with the Connect service, very quick (compared to my old BMW online).

For album art from an iPod classic you need to tick the 'Detailed track information' box in mmi settings when playing from it. Blue cable works fine so no worries.

Turns out my g/f had the blue cable from her car and doesn't need it any more - just plugged it in and the album artwork isn't displaying! iPod Classic 160Gb, detailed track information box selected. Not sure why it isn't working - any other suggestions?

Hmm need to make sure album art is not too large - think 800x800 is the limit for tech pack high but maybe try one at 500x500 just as a test. Also check iPod is latest version iOS although it's not been changed for a good few years now so doubt this is the issue.

iPod stopped being updated years ago software-wise so yes, is up to date. The same tracks appear fine concerning album art when played from my iPhone using the WLan connection! Artwork is standard artwork size that appears when you buy from iTunes, so not sure what resolution this is. I read a poster elsewhere talking about a ''reduced artwork" MMI option??? I've not seen this, just the 'detailed track information'.

I'll have a hunt round later think I've seen this and it maybe what you're looking for - at the pub at the mo for a Thai curry so away from the car.

When I buy or rip anything to iTunes I tend to download the album art from the web, open up and resize in paint and then edit all to the album and replace with the new image.

Phone piccy from yesterday, already needs washing due to the weather - gone old school on the mirrors so bound to cause some controversy :yum:.

Ah, great, weird that different codes - the blue cable i'm trying is 4F0051510K so instead i'll look for AG. Thanks for checking!

Is there a subtle difference?

Compatible devices for iPod adapter cable with dock connector (Item number 4F0 051 510 K or AG, cable with blue marking)
  • iPod mini (version 1.3.0)
  • iPod nano
  • iPod 4G (version 1.2.1)
  • iPod 5G Video
  • iPod classic 6G
  • iPod touch
  • iPhone 1 - 4s
  • iPad 1 - 3 results (from version 4.2.1)

Totally agree with you both its way too high for a Audi coupe, need to ask when I get back home, they only give him diesel engine cars think this one has 190 bhp because of his age 23,other wise it would be a S3 he would have or something along those lines

The new wheels on the A5 black edition, I'm not a fan of.
Saw one in the showroom when I was collecting mine and I don't like.
I seriously think the standard S3 wheels are the best Audi offer at the moment.
