:uhm: a quick line, car been serviced around 1100 mls ago, advised of haldex oil change and filter. is this a straitforward job or 1 for specialist 'D'

very straightforward, but a pain in the **** to get to. Much easier if you have access to a lift.

be carefull tho - if i remeber right it was not cheap when audi did it for me. ended up being the most expensice service i ever had!

Shouldn't cost that much on it's own, however there is a specific procedure to follow when changing the oil (the diff is supposed to be a specific temp before dropping the oil) one I'd get a garage I trust to do to be honest.

Cost me £90 from an Audi main dealer.... No problem at all! My advise is not to attempt it yourself. I have no idea at all what kind of oil you need but more importantly, if you get it wrong, you call balls up the Haldex -and that will cost a billion dollars to fix!

Just got my haldex oil and filter changed by a specilist. Cost £82.
I've been having a problem where the rear inside wheel seems to drag/lock up slightly when on full lock sometimes.
Oil and filter change seems to have fixed the problem.
