Will a CTS turbo turbo inlet hose make a difference?

I am thinking of getting the thin plastic OEM hose replaced by a silicon hose made by CTS turbo.

Being much thicker than the original hose, I was thinking that the air travelling through the hose would not be heated as much as the OEM product since it is much thicker and so better shielded against the heat from the engine bay.

I can get one for 90$ should I do it or just save up for a cold air intake.

I had one on my S1 and that was from REVO. I think it said something along them lines so I would imagine it would be better. When I get my S3 I will be doing the same and replacing the paper filter with K&N or other.

I fitted one to my r600 intake , its a forge hose but I presume its the same , its a much bigger hose so should aid flow from the better intake but I doubt will do anything noticeable
Forge

I would have thought so. I think it was just the thought of having it done made me think it was better. These things are not made for nothing though.

Your problems will not be solved by a bit of hose.

You need to reduce the boost, and consider a bigger intercooler and WMI,or you won't be able to run the boost levels you want,in your local conditions.

I have no problems so stop telling me the same thing over and over again.

I've been driving the car for 2 months now with 4300 Km on the odo and no problems at all since I am running the 1+3 map.

A larger intake hose was tested by a certain producer of a certain airbox and the conclusion was the stock hose is fine and offers no restrictions.
I am however interest in boost pipes and throttle body pipe...

I doubt it

I installed the spulen inlet pipe which is the same, but black, with my awe Intake only because the stock pipe got all scuffed up removing that damn spring clamp

The stock hose is made out of plastic with multiple ridges in it to allow for flex of the intake system under load, however having these ridges causes a lot or turbulence to the air. We re-designed the hose to eradicate this, maintaining the precise OE fit whilst eradicating any turbulence issues. The inner ridges made way for smooth inner walls which after testing increased both airflow and speed resulting in more power and flow.

This was taken from REVO.

Ok

All I'm trying to do is save you wasting money and get you the performance you want.

I'll leave you to your own devices.
