RS3 8V Orders List

Looks amazing Rob

The Audi.de site has made a massive improvement on their configurator views, puts ours to shame really.

Thanks.

I see we've ordered our RS3's within the same Dealer group - Harwoods Audi ;-)

On the red I think the aluminium pack looks good on the front. I just really think the aluminium effect around the diffuser and exhausts looks cheap. Just my opinion though.

I share your opinion above Ozmosis.

I beg to differ. I think the Alu pack enhances the twin oval pipes....Imo

Rob, Will the tyre pressures show up on your dash with your optional valve caps?

This is a good thing, means we won't all have the same specs ;-)

Yep looks very similar. It was the showroom car kitted out like this that made me choose it. Last three S3's have been white so a bit of a change.

Yes please let me know. Would probably add this to my spec if that's the case

I checked on the 'My Audi' website link and found out that the RS3 construction date would begin 9th November. I phoned my dealer (Coventry Audi) as they promised to match Bath Audi's September delivery quoted when I phoned around prior to placing my order. I asked my Sales Rep there why did he quote September delivery when he knew he couldn't honour it (I know he only wanted my order) I also asked if he could give me a courtesy car as I'm putting too many miles on my Abarth, again he woudn't do anything. I said I'd keep an eye on the build date to see if it came forward at all and also said I may have to cancel as I needed a new car quick (September as he had assured me) I couldn't believe it when he phoned me back about 10 minutes after our original phone call to say they had cancelled my order and were refunding my deposit! No reason was given - I suspect one of the sales guys there has a friend who wants one and they just gave them my build slot. My RS3 is still showing on the My Audi website but the spec has been changed (colour now black) literally an hour after my phone call with them. I told him I would never buy another Audi again - and I've had a few, including buying Audi's for my wife and staff. I phoned Mercedes over the weekend and will be placing a deposit on a facelift AMG 45. Mercedes have been a pleasure to deal with and I've bagged a discount and looking at an October delivery. I guess it may be a blessing in disguise as Coventry Audi (and Birmingham Audi in the past) have been awful to deal with - bunch of amateurs. So good luck with your orders guys but it's over and out for me I'm afraid...

Sorry to hear mate, they should have been honest from the start. My dealer have been really good from the start. When I was looking at the cla45 the 2 dealers I spoke to were terrible. One guy in the dealership was especially bad. Took all my details to arrange a test drive as they never had a car in stock. Was told to expect a call later that week. Phoned 3 times over the next week and not a single call back. Went in a week later with my brother when he was collecting his car after service and the same guy saw me and stood at the opposite end of the dealership till I left

I think it all comes down to whoever you deal with dealership wise.

I agree there's good and bad dealers no matter what cars they sell but no excuse what Coventry Audi have done - a bit sneaky to be honest.

Shocking customer service.
Proofs is the pudding if the car has changed colour so quickly!

Sorry to hear you've been mistreated at Audi Coventry. I've also been played about at Birmingham Audi with my order, no confirmation that it has ever been ordered (order number still not given been a month) finance is under review, provided bank statements, payslips, the lack of communication and the customer service received at that dealership is nothing sort of a disgrace.

Taking into considering, my order has not been put through onto the Audi system, finance not accepted as of yet (month past) I've asked for my deposit and they are refusing to give it me back. First it was nothing back, then £1000 pounds, then £1500 back out of my £2000. I won't accept a penny less and I will NEVER walk though the door of Birmingham Audi ever again unless I was in the market for another car and they gave me an offer I'd be stupid to turn down. I'd rather travel 50 miles to a dealership that appreciate your custom and don't mug you off.

I would say complain to Audi UK about that dealership and the salesperson but I would say don't waste your breath. Audi UK are also pathetic too.

Was planning on returning later through the year order the Rs3 again but at Coventry but with your experience, I'd rather stay well away from any Listers Audi I come across.

Hi Ash, I've been reading about your problems on the (whisper it..) 'other forum' I had a big row with the dealer principal at Birmingham Audi last year and she slammed the phone down on me. I got an written apology from her and some new tyres for my RS3. I swore I'd never use them again and Listers advised me to use Coventry but to be honest they have been well out of order pulling a stroke like they have. I'd look for a non Listers Audi Dealer if you choose to go back (I never will) Halesowen and Wolverhampton were ok when I was looking for prices.

Take them on over the £500 owing - they've given you £1500 already so haven't really got a leg to stand on.

There's no point complaining as you said. I'm happy with my new order and look forward to it arriving.

Hi there! :) It would seem Birmingham Audi have enough custom to just treat their customers like **** and essentially don't give two hoots about them ever coming back.

Wow, can't believe that, well I can actually, it was one of their sales manager who I spoke to over the phone and he came across as a smug P**** on the phone. Seems like that because I'm young they are trying to take me for a mug and hold onto my deposit but I'm not having it, I want every single penny back and final steps will be trading standards.

Yeah I'm never going back unless they were to offer a stupidly good offer on a car that I was after. They told me November delivery too so I would of probably been like that chap above too, let down by their lies and shoody business practices. I'll keep those two dealers in mind when I'm back on the hunt for another one in the near future.

Many thanks.

T&Cs state cancellation needs to be given in writing, if you haven't or in this case they have not done this then it's breach of contract by the dealer. Sounds like they had another customer who wanted to beat the waiting list so spec amended & avoids them having any risk of you pulling out. (Not to say the other person won't if delivery times aren't met)

Get the balance of deposit back & just walk away.

On another topic look at the Listers RS3 review video, can't work out if its supposed to be funny or just badly done either way they portray an image of stupidity.

Yep, this is the first time I've been made aware (today) of this having to be the case when canceling so I've just gone and sent an email across to the head of business.

This is the same video I posted on the other forum... They come across as idiots, heads should be rolling at Audi HQ seeing this. This is a pathetic video that hasn't sold the car to any potential buyer out there and the only highlight of the video is the clown in it.

If I was put out about what they did then I'd probably fire off an email to them regarding the T&C's but to be honest I'm not really bothered about what happened, it's done now and there isn't anything I can do about it. As I say I'm looking forward to the facelift AMG arriving now.

I'm still strong in preparation, hoping that they all come back in from holiday on Monday at the factory, turn the key and start the production line, without any problems.

I wonder if the production line us a key start or has a keyless start??? (I'll get my coat)

Same here. Does anyone know approximately how long it takes from this stage to shipping?

Usually takes 1 week to build and take the train journey to Emden, it will then sit there for a week or two before being shipped to the UK.

It will sit in a UK port for a few days before making its journey to the dealer.

So usually around 4 weeks from BW to collection. If your lucky, 3 weeks if your not then 5.

factory back up and running a week early then?
Yeah they re-opened on Monday according to my dealer. This would appear to be backed up by the progression on order tracking. Think I'll be first to take UK delivery of Mythos. Keen to see more pictures of the stealth look but there aren't too many about.
