Hey,

All i'm going to say is.. plasti dip is amazing !

done my front grille and my rear audi badge in the stuff.. and took not longer than a few hours to do without taking anything off the car !

I did the rear yesturday and pressure washed it this morning and the dip didn't budge !

Thinking of doning the whole of my car in it soon !

you need a set of black s-line badges now

I'm considering doing my chrome window trim if I get time before AITP.
Agree with Bez, you need to get the Black S-Line badges pal

It looks awesome seen a few cars done by a guy near me, some might not like it mate, but it's all about personal preference and if we all turned up at a show looking the same.................... how boring lol

Would not have done this mate, it will not last long. My A4 grill came plasti dipped and its now peeling off from stone chips etc.

Im going to get a new grill painted in gloss black

For the cost of a can, you can afford redoing it at least 10 times more when compared to a paint shop. At least where I'm from.

That is probably due to rpevious owner not doing it correctly - i sprayed my complete car and i didnt have one stone chip when i peeled it 6-7month later.

The thing people dont do is build up the coats, it is the multiple coats which build up the durability of it, alot of people just think oh look it has changed colour and looks amazing after 2coats (which it does) but that will not withstand day to day driving.

I personally think it is great stuff, and if your ever stuck you can apply normal laqure of plasti dip and it doesnt affect the peeling.

First post here. Just did my grille, splitter

and fogs today. First leap into the plasti dip world. Very easy to use and only problem I had was the Northern Ireland weather . Pretty happy with what is a very cheap mod.

Plastidip doesn't last. Even after proper prep, mine didn't last long when I did the grille.

I did the chrome surrounds on my fog lamps approx 8 months ago and they look fine, all in the prep :)

Agree with that 100%. I cleaned mine, dried, rubbed with alcohol and let dry again before even taking the lid off the plasti dip

Just to add to my first plasti dip comment. I've pulled the grill and chrome surround mainly because I didn't remove the grill from the car I couldn't spray in behind the grill and found that's where it began to peel. Also washed car less than 48 hrs after doing the dip and didn't touch the grill at all (including drying) and it lef water marks. So when I do it again i will try to get into the grill with better coverage and definitely stay clear of washing for a few days.

When doing the grill did you guys take it off and put some covers behind in case the dip went on the radiator? Seen in some forums you should do this?

I left the grille on the car, masked the area's that may get some dip on them, and yes, covered the rad with an old dust sheet.
