My S3 SB was ordered with Coventry Audi.

I'm keen to know how they performed for others on here in terms of the "collection experience".

Thanks

Tell you in three weeks!!!!!

Mine was no frills, but I pretty much expected that as I pushed them for everything I could possible get out of them, only for them to say no!!

My car was heavily discounted (12.7%) so I was happy enough with that but I didn't even get the 1litre top up oil. My local dealer, Amersham, make much more of an occasion of it, but they could not get anywhere near the Coventry price.

I've ordered with them too.

But my build week is provisionally BW 39. So, some way to go yet.

I'll be interested to hear your experiences.

Evening Forbzeee, I've squeezed about 13% out of mine. Got ILP included for free, so I think I've done well. Did you get the MMI cables thrown in for free or not even that?

Used for A3 which collected in March. Got about 12% so wasn't expecting much.

Was no frills but expected as such as even asked them not to clean to avoid paint damage.

Was parked outside, got a walk through of functions etc, free MMI cable and also threw in one for old iPod he managed to find but wasn't in packet.

No oil and only 3/4 tank of fuel.

Max was polite enough and dealt with all pre-collection requests well, even swapping my reg after random was a disaster, wasn't pushed by anybody on the silly extra sales packages either.

Mine was no frills collection but then it was a lease car.

An awful lot of cars come from Coventry as they seem to provide some of the best deals. I get the general impression that they're competent but don't expect a big song and dance handover as they're very busy. Generally the most expensive car being collected on that day will get the showroom handover treatment.

The only real issue I had with them was the flaming MMI cable - I needed a red one and it came with blue and they tried to tell me there was no difference and blue would be fine. They did source a red one for me though after I insisted.

Is this still the case with the mmi leads? Max has said they will give me a lead but I didn't realise the colours... Is the difference the artwork? Cheers

I did get an MMI cable but I wanted two as my work phone is an old iPhone 4s whereas my personal is a 6 and they need different cables. I think I was just being a bit greedy at that stage :)

Overall Max and Ben did a good job.

Albeit a lease car I got the full treatment with the car sat in the collection room and a very thorough introduction.

Yeah,as a "rule of thumb" more of a discount less of nothing, as far as Audi Freebeez go.

The blue and red cables are both Apple dock connector ones. I had a red one with my previous car and Coventry Audi supplied a blue one and were adamant it was identical with the exception that it didn't support video.

They were wrong. The track listing with the blue cable was far less detailed than with the red and the artwork wasn't shown either. I got them to swap it. Basically 99% of Audi dealers have no clue what the differences between cables are so do your own research and then demand the right one is my advice.
