Faded paint on rear bumper/arch

Noticed this late yesterday, it's under the lacquer and 100% not something on top of it.

Anyone come across it before?

I've just been down to Audi, they gave me the name & email address of their warranty guy to contact about it (He doesn't work Sundays).

It looks more obvious in these pictures, but you have to get the angle & light just right to see it.

Is it Mythos Black mate ? I've had massive issues with my Mythos Black S1 I had the paint inspector out as my bumper paint was flaking off and various other issues. Any way I'm getting a S3 for all the problems I've had.
 
That looks like a lack of coverage, which is shocking but should be sorted with no issues.
 
On my PC monitor, l really cant see the fading,but what l do know is, Flat paints are softer and more susceptible to fading especially in darker flat paint,but hope you get it sorted though.
 
The warranty will cover it I had my rear bumper replaced for paint flaking and thin paint on the edges. You could actually see the yellow primer through the paint.
 
Cheers guys, it's weird how I've not noticed it until yesterday and now each time I pass the car it sticks out like a sore thumb :D

@MikeParkin how long did they have your car for, just the day? and how long did the new one take to arrive?

I'm thinking as it's only very minor they may just get their paint guys to blow it in to thicken the paint in that area.
 
I'm waiting to my local dealer to get back to Mr about the lacquer coming off my rear bumper. Fingers crossed they will sort it.
 
@S32B I think it was about two weeks but I just gave them the car and told them to sort it. They were going to paint the bumper but warranty said they will paint a new one so they might do that. But when the new bumper was put on they snapped a clip and was painted **** so be warned ha.
 
Yup looks like lack of coverage / overspray to me.

That's quite a big upgrade. I'm guessing not FOC?
 
Your car could have been smart repaired post factory pre delivery. It can happen. I've seen cars come off transporters with dents and scratches before. Sure you'll get it sorted by warranty no problem.
 
Basically @Scottyg. There's more discounts on S3 but think it was 14% and deposit so couldn't refuse. I put a few extras on that bumped it up but I'm happy with the out come.
