I've used that paint and found that it was too light for my alloy wheels. Ended up buying some touch up paint off eBay which matched perfectly.
You might be better off getting both wheels painted on the one side if you can't get a correct code but most good wheel refurbishers should be able to get a match.
Hi Phil-1
The colour code you need for the RS4 type black edition wheels is L3SR and is called Granit.
L8AU is called Titanoptik and is the colour of the rotor 5 arm type and is much lighter.
I did 2 spray out cards today and finished them both with matt clear coat as per spec. The pic doesn't show the actual colour very well but it shows how much darker L3SR / Granit is. This is the correct colour.!
Hope that helps..??

This might help........
Mines a 2009 car, I like the lighter colour either way....... Never been a fan of black or really dark wheels.
Hope you get sorted buddy.
Ps did you ever get any joy with that ambient light?

That's great, thanks, I'll give that one a go
Unfortunately L8AU isn't the correct colour for mine, however a guy on eBay sells touch up paints, including L8AU. He couldn't find the code L3SR, but repairs wheels for an Audi dealership and has mixed up a custom paint to suit, based on black edition wheels at the dealer, I am told it's quite a bit darker, as mine seem to be. I wil post my findings here once I've tried it later this week.
