Well, I did make it! There certainly was quite a collection of our favourite marque and reasonable cross section to boot. Personally, I was really pleased to see the 80's, S2's, RS2's, 80 Cabriolets, C5 RS6's, UR Quattro's, in fact anything pre 2004. Some of them were exceptional, I thought. Not so much for me, the modern stuff - as beautiful as so much of it is, it ****** well should be! Neither am I a fan of the ridiculously lowered mobile juke boxes (lowering is one thing, but to the point where the edge of the rim, never mind the tyre, is getting overly acquainted with the paintwork is surely taking it a step too far?) Overall, an interesting few hours but, at risk of sounding a grumpy old man (I am, so why not), was the DJ shipped in from Ibiza without any idea that there are other tastes in music?!
Okay, Okay - I've always liked Triumph Stags, perhaps I should f**k off and get one!

P.S. Before anyone says it for me, I do realise, as in all walks of life a each to their own...........

Haha I totally agrre, and had a similar discussion with several people there! For me, impressive as the new stuff is there, the C5 RS6's, S2 Avant's and that V8 etc were most impressive. Here's my car anyway. Didn't see yours there?

I was in general parking - should I have gone to the ASN stand? My first time at the event so not sure of protocol or whatever. I did see your car but you weren't around at the time. It did finally make my mind up - I think - that I do want to get a set of 18" wheels rather than refurb my 17's. Seems like a sensible and subtle mod to me. Something that struck me was how few C5 A6's (non RS6) there were. Perhaps we are the owners of rare future classics!

Perhaps! I tuned up on the ASN stand and was bumped from pillar to post a bit to make room for A3's, but whatever.... hence my car just looked a bit abandoned! There was another C5 1.9 same colour as mine that I saw, but that's all that springs to mind!

James I'm with you on the A3's and I have to agree on the modern tyre stretch and cars sitting on their belly!
As I said over on our section you know when your cars getting old or is not sitting on it's belly with stupidly wide or larey wheels when the only person who takes it's photo is yourself! What happened to the nice clean OEM look with subtle mods, or is this the old fart look
I will be going to ADI in October but don't think I'll park on the stand.
On a side note I was impressed with the small club opposite ASN but as they are Facebook based and I am a non user sadly it's not for me.
Great to finally meet up with you though and will hopefully see you at ADI.
