Un-usual sound after re map

I had my car remapped today and it was driving fine all day and I did notice and increase in turbo noise and the power increase! I've just driven it now and the turbo has a really weird sound when I put my foot down I'm br sure if it's the turbo going or a boost leak :/ how do I check for boost leaks?
 
have you inspected the DV?

What year?

Common problem is the bottom intercooler pipes leak; the lugs wear so new pipes are needed

Do you have any black smoke coming out of the exhaust when accelerating?
 
Unlikely to be a boost leak as it would happen in all gears

A little bit more turbo noise is common but it shouldn't be excessive

How many miles has the car done?
 
135k think it's going to be the turbo! If I take it back tomorrow and put it back to standard would the turbo last?
 
The 140's are known for weak turbos

What sort of sound is it? If its a whistle then it's usually fine. If its a police siren type noise then it could be the turbo :(

You could put it back to standard to see if the noise still exists

Did the company who did the remap do a pre-diagnostic check? Did they drive it prior to doing the map?
 
Neither that's the thing I've never heard it before! Earlier today the whistle was a tiny bit louder but now it's just a weird noise on boost but it doesn't lose any power just doesn't seem right yeah they checked it first! I'm hopefully taking it back tomorrow so he can check but I just wanted to ask you guys first
