Ok a month today from placing my order. Currently build week 44.

So every other car I have bought or ordered I start seeing them on the road.

A month in and seen none on the road, and I live in Essex ! I would have thought this would be S3 paradise.
Not a 8l or 8p ,nevermind an 8v ..

Did not realise they are so rare . Either that are they all get stolen here.

I am on Herts/Essex border and often venture into Essex and outer London boroughs (Havering/Redbridge).

8v's are getting more popular in my neck of the woods and funnily enough saw a spate of them in the first few days of owning my S3.

I am just outside glasgow 20 miles..........Dont see many at all,but on one ocassion travelling back from work on the M80, l saw 2 brand new 15 plates Sepangles right next to me in other lanes.............both Sportsbacks with silver roof rails...but no PANOROOF He...he and thats about it really..had a red and black flash past me, but thats all 4 in the past 5 months.

Off topic "Again"...lol but when l going to work on Saturday "Glasgow Airport" l saw 2 RS6 Avants both brand spankers one in Daytona and the other in Misano....Daytona one was "Glasgow Audi's" with some lucky young guy behind the Wheel, salesman on the otherside. Damn a "Nik Kershaw song came to mind as he flew past"

I saw my first one 'in the wild' a week or so ago on the A41 between St Albans and Hatfield.

Looked very nice in Ibis White...Rekindled my interest in them again, as I was contemplating either a new A5 or the S3 saloon...

Still only seen 2 S3 saloons since July last year in my neck of the woods

Slightly off topic, but I've only seen 2 S4 saloons since Christmas as well

Conversely, I regularly see lots & lots of the new Range Rover's where I live. I see less Ford Fiesta's lol

They are all in Aberdeen area.
Two of my friends have them, I had one, there are possibly three or four at my work and I regularly see double figures of them on top of the aforementioned.
Common as muck up this way (although so are all Audi's).

Central London. Only seen one since I took delivery of mine, and that was the reflection of mine staring back at me in a shop window. I saw two during the 10 weeks it was on order, but that's it.

I see a few around me. Mainly hatchbacks. Have only seen 1 saloon in the area and 1 sportback, all the rest have been hatchbacks.

I've seen one S3 Sportback - MY15 - on my road in Watford. The other A3 8V on that road is mine. Haven't seen many in Watford apart from that.

I see a lot on the M25 when I go back to Essex to see my folks. Not many when I go into Essex though.

I drove all the way from Cheshire to Kent and back and didn't see a single S3......and I was looking out for them. 3 others where I work, including a very nice Panther Black saloon. Don't see too many out and about though.

I'd seen only maybe 3 or 4 in the twelve months I've had the car, and then this week I've seen one yesterday and another today. Mentioned both in the Spotted thread..... and on for a hattrick tomorrow ;)

Two white S3 hatchbacks on my estate, one of which is opposite from me. Don't tend to see many out and about in the East Mids though.

You are right S32B... :)

All I can say was I was born here 59 years ago and a lot has changed since then. The Essex chav is actually in import.

That said it has amazed me not to see them here. There are loads of Audi's , but S3's are rare. Maybe they are all in Scotland. Sounds like Aberdeen is a good place to go spotting ... :)

They look just like the A3 - seen any of those maybe ?? :whistle2:

OK not wanting to upset all Southern shandy drinkers :p so all I'll say is: The quote in my sig may have something to do with it! @ The chav generation only obviously ;)

We have some pretty good ones in East Anglia too. Actually , we drink weak imported stuff out the bottle. Peroni for the boys and Proseco for the girls.... The girls prefer a big bottle apparently..

Though there are some original Essex boys hiding here too. That said my kids can't wait to escape. Youngest off to Lincoln next month to Uni (hopefully if the results are right).

Coke in a malt Nooooo. My dad would turn in his grave. (He came from Inverness).

Since i picked up my S3 in October I have seen 5 others (one saloon). Also in that time I have seen 2 A45 AMG and about 104 MK7 Golf R's and probably 300+ Mk7 Golf GTDs and about 2 Mk7 GTIs. Seriously I see a Golf R or GTD nearly every day I'm out. Glad I don't follow the sheep...

I still think the blue Golf R is a lovely looking car, just the inside lets it down...plastic is yuk.

It's not just the plastic mate, that looks like something from the 1980's!

Truly diabolical ;)

Wow, that's actually the first time I've seen the interior of one and I'm truly shocked. :puke2:

I know people will think I'm just picking on it as I bought an S3, but that really is not nice. The ST I almost bought was much, much nicer. I guess Beko had alot of Piano Black plastic they needed to get rid of. :)

I've seen loads but then I do go to Milton Keynes a lot and the VW HQ carpark is full of them. There's also a Spango Saloon not far from me that I see regularly and I've probably seen 10 or so on the M25 this year.

Mine's getting fixed :)

Yes I looked at the R ,and thought yes nice looking.
Got inside and could not believe how tacky it looked.
The same with the Beetle. A twenty grand car with an interior Kia would be ashamed of.
I really think Audi have got the interior sorted.
Yes also see loads of Gtd and numerous S lines.

Have seen 2 in and around Cheshunt (m25, jct 25) a brilliant red pulling on to the A10 at Waltham cross and a glacier white that almost crashed into a roundabout heading towards Waltham Abbey whilst being a knob while I still had my 2.0tdi.

When I get back from hols I will let you know when I am heading towards Stortford, A10 wadesmill bypass is good for a blast before heading towards Stortford on the A120

The Steering wheel is particularly s****. The A3 s-line/S flat bottomed steering wheel for feel IMHO is the best I have had on a car. Love the flat bottom, the slightly chunky grip and grip features at ten to two. Surprised that has nut been mire comment on the steering wheel TBH

Totally agree Dave the steering wheel is superb as is the MMI.

To be honest the interior is flat out flawless and I can't think of a single thing I'd change ;)

Seen any number in Teesside and Tyneside, several S3 saloons as well as mine, Panther Black, Glacier white, Daytona grey, 2 or 3 S3 cabriolets, any number of hatch/sportbacks and sorry to say but a high percentage of hatchbacks and sport backs are Sepang Blue so a common colour
