Chrome trim again!

Age old question I know, but I don't seem to be able to find a definitive answer, please help...

May just have bagged myself a full black headliner, grab handles, lights, sun visors, the lot and was wondering if I could change my chrome trim that runs along roof, over top of windows (on Avant) for black whilst headliner is out.

Does the rear quarter window need to be removed to replace this?

Do I need to remove the upper curtain airbags to get to the rivets in trim to drill them out?

I'm not entirely sure how I'm paying for the headliner stuff yet! But at £150 for all of it & if it's good condition it's too good to turn down.
