Evening all.
I've a 2013 A4 which has developed an annoying problem with the drivers seat adjustment. The seat adjusts backwards and forwards as normal but after a while of being adjusted it jolts back when you pull away. It's as if it clips back in place. Always seems to be the right side of the seat. I've had the seat base changed twice. The last time it went to in I was told the base was unlikely to be the problem and the runners (or something to that effect) were adjusted. The seat back seems to rock slightly too. Was told it was common but they refused to acknowledge it as a fault. They suggested I check the seats firmly in position before setting off! Bit patronising! It's going in again on Wednesday as the 'fault' is still there.
Anyone else had a similar issue?
Coupled with a vibrating rear parcel shelf these so called common characteristics are starting to take the shine off ownership.
Whatever happened to Audi build quality?

Annoying isue. I'd just keep at them until it was sorted out lyallr.

My 2010 does this! Make you poop yasel when it happens dont it!! They said they couldnt find anything!

Chuky1 I intend to. It's going in for 4th time tomorrow. S.line poop is mildly putting it ;-) Whatever adjustment they made last time seemed to have temporarily fixed it albeit it's started up again in the last few days. It's going back to the dealer tomorrow so I'll let you know what comes of it. Might help with yours

Hope you can replicate it at the dealers. Is there any way of making sure it happens? or is it just random. Check the seats firmly in position? I know what I would have said. Dealers, same world over.

Safety is my first question. It always seems to be the right hand off side runner. Only does it after adjustment but theres no similarity in times after adjust. Could be a few mins or a couple of hours. A good shake doesn't even make it do it but even after that it still does it!!!

S.line that's spot on! Mine's exactly the same. Just put the car in the garage and noticed that the base has some play on the right side. Left side of the base has no play at all. I'll see what comes of tomorrow.
