Yes, at least bucket seats would be available from mid-November (september/october as new option).
Ceramic front brakes should be also be in a few months.

And facelift is expected (nothing oficial) for presentation early 2016 (march), ordering in april/may, first deliveries june/july.

June seems a deadline for pre-facelift. Maybe all the cars with exclusive painting have moved to the end of production.
 
I'm new to audi , so forgive me if this is a daft question , but would they really facelift a model within 12 months ?
I've ordered mine for April delivery , so could be a "old" model within 2 months ❓❓

A3 8V model is 4 years old (presented in Geneva march-2012).

All versions (A3/S3/RS3) are facelifted at same time. 4 years is a normal cycle for mid-facelifts now, then geneva march-2016 is a probable good time for mid-facelift. Also Audi’s electronics chief confirmed next year facelift with some details (virtual cockpit, matrix led..)

Well having seen the supposed facelift....I would be most unhappy even if it was free to me. I ordered on how it looks now...not what it might! I'm sure Audi could have a few complaints if people ended up getting facelift RS3's

All current images are renders, nothing real.
In any case, in AUDI is easy to predict how it will be. New headlights and a small touch on the front, just like new A4.

I am still holding off committing my order until I have fully got my head round the face lift "issue".

If you have already taken delivery or have a car due this side of Christmas, I don't really see an issue - just enjoy the car.

But I am looking at a car March 2016+ ... and as eager as I am to get an order in and get an RS3 I can't help feeling the sensible thing to do would be to wait until I can guarantee a face lift car, for the sake of a few months on delivery.

This is what I'm thinking as well...for the sake of waiting a few more months could benefit in higher residuals in the future
 
I am just not that good at being patient :)

So it will take a lot of will power to resist ordering as I really want an RS3 :greyrs4:

I wanted to hold it out but couldn't! Feel so much better now that I've ordered

There is still almost 1 year of waiting. That's too long for those who want or need now.
 
Order placed on Friday, hope its not a year as i was told this side of xmas. altho dealer said ill update you in 2 weeks. :blink:
 
I've just rang my dealer, if it only means waiting another month ( I can't take delivery till may anyway ) then I'd prefer to wait.
Just not sure if you put a order in for new one , will you be waiting months from launch date or from when you order ?

I'm not sure the Dealer has the power to hold an order back from build though once its registered on the system.

So I need to find this out from my Dealer too.

Do I place an order based on me getting a face lift car when they start build or do we have to hold back ordering on this basis.

There must be a risk that if you place an order - there is a chance that if your car is a particular spec it may get built sooner than expected if its a live order in the Audi build system.

He's no knowledge at all of a 2016 face lift ( they have known about sq5 and A4 and A5 updates for a year )
I'm a little fortunate as I'm not needing the car b4 April / may , so I have "a few months" before I'm tied into the car I originally said I wanted .
The lad has been straight down the line with me and I believe him ( it's whether he doesn't know it him self )
 
I guess the news on the face lift has all been "unofficial" so far ... but we know its gonna happen don't we.
 
The big issue is how long you plan on keeping the car. 4 years and the FL probably isn't a big issue. 18 months and ?
 
I'd prob start thinking about changing after 30 month
 
Well after a trip in to my local dealers today and by their recommendation I now have two rs3s on order. One today and one ordered on 16th April neither will be delivered before March. I'll have to sell the std colour one when/if the exclusive order arrives. Becoming a joke!
 
I logged into yourAudi this morning and found my build date has slipped a further 2 weeks.

Has anyone else's order moved in or out?

Mine arrives in Australia on Sep 10, will be one of the first in the country, excited!!!

I was informed today that mine has visible engine number and VIN in the system which, according to my sales buddy, means that it is awaiting transport. The closer to picking it up, the more difficult it is to wait.

Yep, mine has slipped to 30th Nov now! It was originally scheduled for September and gradually moving further and further back... Was at 16th Nov for a few weeks though until today?!

As of this morning my build week has slipped back hanover one to week 42. So much for them bringing customer orders forward!

How do you find that information on YourAudi?? I can only see mine is still at the Preparation stage but can't see anything about the current build week??

if it's in prep you are less than 3 weeks from production.

Ive been in prep stage for about 2 weeks, thinking the factory shutdown will slow mine up now :( Anyone know when factory re opens????

JUST rang back now and added RS3 package

I have noticed that when people on here have posted pics of their "yourAudi" screenshots when their build status changes it has the colour of the car ordered in the top left hand box. Now I have ordered Catalunya Red, my Audi configurator confirmed by the dealer and the graphic of the car on the "yourAudi" page is red, yet my screenshot States "Byzanz" for the colour. I have googled this and it is an ultra rare metallic orange!!!! Definitely NOT Catalunya Red!!!

Should I be worried??? Anyone else ordered in Catalunya Red and it says it in place of where mine says Byzanz?!?

sorry, think Byzanz is actually a metallic blue/purple.....still not Catalunya Red!!! Lol
