I'm on holiday in Mexico at the moment. We're in the Yucatan peninsula, not the most prosperous area, but in 2 weeks I've only seen 3 Audis: an 8L A3, an 8P A3 and an A1. However, what has really made me think is how we on the forum whinge about the odd squeak or rattle, the lack of features on the MMI, the limited range of colours etc while most of these poor devils don't seem to have 2 pesos to rub together. We were talking to a waiter in a very popular and busy bar on a beautiful coastal site yesterday and he told us that he works from 8 till 6 every day for 60 pesos - less than £3.

I'm missing my A3 terribly at the moment and it's more than a week until I get to drive it again, but this place has really made me count my blessings. And the waiter? We made sure we gave him a ****** good tip.

Been there as well and loved the place. We tipped a lot as they really look after you. The pool bar guy who made our wee one any drink mix she wanted (non alcoholic of course) was superb. We gave him $100 when we left and he was in tears. However, in our eyes he deserved it as he made the holiday special for our wee girl. She still asks about Jose' !!

It's classic First World Problems syndrome isn't. Worrying about leather v Alcantara, the suspension not being quite right, a minor chip on your luxurious metallic paint....when some people literally can't afford a pair of cheap shoes.
