Okay I've got a 2.0 PD140 2004 8P Audi a3 with 120k on the clock, last weekend I put a straight through from the cat removing 2 boxs prepairing for the remap. I know i should do all mods before remap to get a proper reading but can anyone tell me where i get a egr delete kit from... do i just need a plate? and should i take my cat of aswell or leave it on?

Thanks guys

Just buy a egr blanking plate off eBay stainless steel for like £5 (the one without the small hole in the middle) and then just fit that between the egr valve and inlet manifold connecting pipe.

Just blank the EGR off, you don't need to remove it completely.

Take off the two bolts that are holding the pipe to the valve then give a little pull on the pipe and get someone to hold it to leave a gap which is when you will fit in your slot in blanking plate between the gasket and the pipe. After that release the pipes and bolt back in the bolts. When you remove the pipe from the valve be careful not to drop the gasket get down the engine bay

Your engine light will eventually come on so you will need a remap to go a egrOff

Do you fit the blanking plate between EGR and exhaust pipe that comes from the right? Or is it meant to go between EGR valve and inlet manifold?

Between the egr valve and inlet manifold pipe. Make sure the I gasket doesn't fall down when you move the pipe and the gasket has to be on the side of the valve. So in order it'll be from left to right (bkd engine): egr valve > gasket > blanking plate > inlet manifold pipe

Thanks. So is it the pipe that attaches to EGR from the right on the image? Apologies, I just want to be 100% sure.
