Hi I'm looking at getting an A1 is there any way of checking to see what sat nav has been fitted to the car.
As I would prefer the HDD one

If your looking at 2011-2014 the tech pack has a silver front on the stereo
To spot SD look for two SD slots its either going to say this function is unavailable to activated contact your Audi dealer ship to activate (this is £500) or insert card if its been activated & the card is removed(you will still have to pay for a replacement if they don't have it)
Looking around theres not many cars forsale with it
I'd just get a high end sat nav they will have free map updates traffic & would be cheaper in the long run then trying to find a car with it

The 185 isn't the most reliable of engines(oil consumption miss fires) 210bhp is possible with a remap so it maybe possible
I'd personally avoid any 185s or any of its sibling's polo gti Ibiza cupra fabia vrs
That one just sounds like trouble if you must find a standard one ideally under manufacture's warranty

The silver ones engine looks like there is a cover missing near the engine bay or is that how all the engine bays are? also there's a date written on the engine (see photo)

Both look ok theirs nothing wrong with the engine bay that's how they look in the 122bhp
the writing could simply be to show something has been done oil
brake fluid(should have been done at 3years) my only advice is if they claim it's due to having a cambelt change then I'd exercise caution because they have a timing chain(which is ment to last the life of the car)

I contacted the garage who has emailed me the last service report I have contacted the Audi dealer and have received this.
The car was Serviced with us on the 01.06.2015, the car had a Major Service. I have no explanation for this writing but we would not of added this. I can only presume it was on the cover at the time of Service.
Anyway I'm looking forward to looking at both of them over the weekend.
