Hi, I have searched high and low on the Internet but can't find the answer. Does anyone know the amplifier ohm output of a Non Bose standard Audi? 2ohm or 4 ohm? I know the Bose one is 2 ohm.

Thanks.

B6 / B7 non Bose cars have 4 ohm normal speakers in the front then the rears and sub in side of boot (if estate) , or sub in parcel shelf if saloon (like mine) are run off an amplifier which will be 2 or 8 ohm. What are you trying to do with the system? Upgarde spakers?

I was trying to upgrade the stick sub. Tested with an old 100w 4 ohm but the sound is less than stock. Stock one says 2 ohm.

Wrong impedance will dramatically reduce the power so will sound awful.

I am in process of upgrading my sub. I have some morel virtus components in the front with fair bit of dynamat.

I'm going for a morel sub to match and then drive them all of a jl audio amplifier with adjustable bass control knob hidden in the pocket down to right of steering wheel.

All cables are run just doing little bits every night as busy at work.
