Hi,just bought a diesel audi a3 8v 2013, with sat nav.
Love the car and everything about it but I have one small issue,no dab.

Ive read various threads on here,but as of now what are my options to have it fitted.

Can an audi dealer here in the uk sort it for me,or will that cost too much?

I don't want clutter on my dashboard,ie as discreet as possible

I thought all UK spec A3s had DAB as standard. However, there are many on here much more knowledgeable than me. You need someone like veeeight to confirm.

I think it was May / March 2013, any audi A3 8V (without the DAB option) does not have DAB as standard.If you want a retrofit option there are a few available. Check out 'advanced in car' but the aerial for DAB will stick inside your wind-shield screen. I'm not sure if its fully integrated to the MMI too.

As JohnM100 linked to above, DAB was fitted as standard (included in the price increase of £300) for MY2014

So your car has to be built after Week22 in 2013.

NHN will do you a good deal in aftermarket

Only real option is aftermarket as if you wish to go OEM you would need to source a new / used MMI DAB unit, have component protection removed, purchase a new Navigation Licence and then have it applied. Between £600 and £800 for a used non-TechPack retrofit.
