No Top Gear on Sunday !!

I've only recently seen a pic of the fella clarkson slapped.to be fair,he does have one of those faces!!!!:aggressive: Also is it rumoured Guy Martin is on the cards to present the program ?

JC's parting is just another turn in the story that is life.
Top Gear existed before Jeremy, Richard and James came on the scene, they just made it more interesting and funny for a while.
It's somebody else's turn now. They have to captivate an audience with their own brand of motoring interest and madness.
Will they manage...? Who knows.
Part of the captivation of Clarkson and Co, was watching the car crash unfold, unfortunately, this time he has written it off.

There's always 'Call The Midwife' or some other p*sh on BBC 1, so we won't lose out on our licence fee.....!

:box:

I read a story yesterday that Russian TV has offered JC a job presenting a Top Gear style show over there.

Presumably it'll have a segment called "Tsar in a reasonably priced car".

They will have a stigski testing the latest incarnation of the Lada Riva around their potholed ex-military compound.

Looks like the three amigos had a meeting with ITV yesterday. Really hope they get something sorted. Miss my Sunday nights TV. Even my wife likes it and she's not a car nut at all!

Said a few posts back that they had meeting with ITV, now seems they are in talks with Netflix as well. I wish they'd just hurry up and bring it back somewhere.

Just saw an advert on bbc2 saying top gear coming soon to bbc2 only!!

The ad is on the net too, with the threesome driving some 4x4s through a field.........

Let's see what happens.

Last show on Sunday 28th June. Extended episode.
Chris Evans as new host. If he can work some TFI Friday magic then he may pull it off. I'll pass judgment when I see it!

Chris Evans is the new presenter of Top Gear, much to the disappointment of the nation. Once the world's most popular and most successful factual entertainment show, soon to be confined to the dusty pages of the history book. Your move Netflix/ITV...

I think it will be Netflix as the U.S love them, Netflix bring an American company. I just hope they stick together and get something sorted soon. Sunday nights aren't the same without it. Although you can get your ayah fix on BBC 3 just now. But ironic really!

I have a feeling with Chris as the new presenter, it will become more of a car show rather than an entertainment program, however I did enjoy the episode of TFI that was on last week, so who knows what is in store for us.

Can't stand the guy...but willing to hold out before making a preemptive judgement. Sunday's just aren't the same anymore, so it needs something.

My concern is the BBC killed the radio 1 breakfast show and I could imaging TG is going to follow suit.

I'll watch the Netflix one

So what was everyones thoughts on the final episode??

I thought it was quite boring!!!

I call Shenanigans.

There were pictures in the news of them emptying the studio months ago, so either the studio bits were recorded just after the incident and before it was stripped (if so, pre planned set up) or, even more unlikely, they rebuilt most of the studio just to film the small segments.

Oh, and the program itself was just pants.

The pre recorded bit was amusing, but the bits where Hammond and May are presenting in the studio was poor, they really looked uncomfortable there.

Well I haven't seen it yet and I can't until Thursday afternoon and I bet they didn't want to film the studio parts without clarkson

@ Andy, they looked very uncomfortable, and there was a very subtle elephant in the room.

@sidibear - the elephant in the room was conveniently named Jeremy too....lol!!

Did you notice they filmed in front of the elephant for most of the programme, then it's rear at the end! Very subtle.
