Got my silicone reinforced intake pipe today. Cost just £25 Inc. postage. Fitting was a doddle with 2 jubilee clips. So factor in £25 for the pipe and £35 for the Pipercross air filter it is only £60. So a saving of over £70 against Revo.

Looks a perfect fit.

At higher PSI on full boost does the standard hose suffer from collapsing?

Apparently it can collapse, Josebardi had a feed about it on here, but the corrugated sides of the oem pipe disrupt the air flow into the engine. The silicone one ones are smooth all the way down inside.

Looks Great!
Could you send a link,so I can order the right size?
Also the filter,Thanks.

Interestingly I have just contacted the seller,
says he misquoted you re price, lucky you,
To everyone else strangely it's now Double That!?

Email kieron@mkperformancehose.co.uk I found them on ebay. It is a 45 degree silicone reducer pipe. 80mm to 60 mm diameters. I ordered a length of 36 cm so it was 18 cm on each leg of the pipe. I had to cut a small piece off the smaller end. If you search online for silicone 45 degree reducer it brings up a load of different manufacturers so it may be a case of shopping for the best bargain

There you go spoke to kieron at mk performance and he is now going to manufacture these pipes and sell them on ebay at £45. Wish I had ordered a load myself and sold them lol.

does this set up make any difference to the performance or intake noise ?

Ill be buying one.... And I dont even have my S1 yet LOL

Got to be worth it. You might be best ordering the right jubilee clips from them for a couple of extra quid because my local car place didn't have one big enough for the top end of the pipe. I just used two smaller ones joined together

Just been out for a blast. Definately noisier and it seems a bit more free revving as well. Hard to tell too much because the remap has made the exhaust a lot louder anyway

Just installed my intake pipe, via eBay,
together with the Pipercross Filter, has made a difference,
improved torque, and a nice roar!
Waiting for my Dtuk Box,which has just had a software update,
to balance power and driveability.

Did you get the one from mk performance? It does make a difference even with the original air box in place.

Do you think we could organise a group buy on the filter and hose?

I am gonna order mine shortly. Can someone comfort that it is the pipe that has the potential collapse that is being replaced

Yeah Daniel the intake pipe to the turbo. It gets rid of the ridges in the oem pipe so it has smoother air flow

Really helpful thread Ian thanks I'm going to order too, how much roughly did you need to cut off the smaller end?

Hi, thanks just trying to help people save money lol. If you speak to Kieron at mk performance he is making them now to the correct length so you don't have to cut it. He also does the option of supplying clips. He has a page on ebay now or its kieron@mkperformancehose.co.uk

Looks good. Did you take the tray out from inside the airbox?

What do you mean by the tray exactly?

When you lift out the oem paper filter it is sitting on a plastic tray / baffles that is louvred. That lifts out fir better airflow. See gingers3 ' s link "look what turned up" there is a picture

Ah I see what you mean now, will have to redo, thanks for letting me know.

You're not the only one Mate lol. I had to take mine back off ( which isn't the quickest job with all those bolts). The trouble is Pipercross don't tell you to but Revo do. It has to really improve the airflow.
