Hi
Ok, I bought a second hand A4 B8 Avant 2.0T SE 2010 back in October 2013, with an extended warranty, and a ****** good job I did too.
Within a month, I noticed the oil usage was about 600 miles per litre oil used, so I researched and complained to the garage which sold it, stating its a known problem now fix it. And to be fair they took the car back and sent it away to be fixed.
Car came back, with new big and little ends, new piston rings and a years warranty on the work. I was a happy bunny, the oil usage went up to 1000miles/litre, which I thought was ok, not great, but ok, I could live with it.
13 months later, the car decides to lose power on acceleration in top gears, then the oil usage dropped off dramatically, car started to shake all within 2 days after a full service from an independent Audi specialist so I took it back to them so they could have a look and ensure it wasn't their fault...it wasn't.
The car went back to its original garage via a sister garage in the same group, and hey presto, the Turbo had blown , result....a new turbo .
Car now runs like a dream, oil usage is 2000 mile/litre, much more respectable I think.
PS I also have a 2002 TT 1.8 Quattro
