Hi how easy is it to replace the gear knob? Only mines getting old and the chrome has cracked which cut my fiances hand.

The gear surround should unclip and if you pull up the gaiter there should be a metal clip holding the gear knob onto the shaft. Replace this with a small jubilee clip when fitting new one :)

or a couple of zip ties can be used too :whistle2:

Lol ok automatic to be precise

A good doctor can change your knob if it's broken think if I remember you have to lift up the leather around the gear knob and there's a clip you have to cut off

Or pick the chrome off - leaves a nice grey circle. Note how I'm resisting any reference to my knob being worn too - - - when you see the price of a genuine, new one, you'll not like.

You could always have your knob removed and have a fanny in its place

Lol im just going to buy a different one i think...or look around some scrap yards

And seeing as my fiance mainly drives this im sure she wouldn't like to grab a fanny (do they sell these ;))

If your in the passenger seat as she's driving changing gear sounds like it could be fun lol
