Hello! I placed an order for a new A4 Avant Black Edition just over a week ago. I currently have a build week of 33 and estimated delivery of mid September. The wait is already painful!! This will be my first Audi (although did have the option of driving my brother's S3 a few years back and enjoyed that immensely).

Have been lurking and enjoying looking at all the new cars that seem to be getting delivered at the moment.

Thanks Sandra!

I have gone for the following

Black Edition Nav 1.8 TFSI 6 Speed
Sepang Blue
Fine Nappa Leather
Hill hold assist
Parking system advanced
Deletion of model and technology badges
Folding and auto dimming mirrors
Heated front seats

Interior light pack

Think that's everything.

Must be one of the last uk orders.
Good choice sir as current a4 deals won't be on the new models for quite some time.
Am an expectant a4 owner like you:yes:

Super excited here! I have patiently been waiting and watching all the lovely new A4 and S4 get picked up and finally mine is getting closer! :rapture:

Checked the tracker site this morning and it is in paint! I know that the tracker is still in beta mode and there could be an issue with dates, but the fact that it is now finally moving on the tracker gives me hope that something is happening!! I am even more impatient as I am currently car less after handing my previous car back to the dealers a couple of weeks ago!! :frown:

Well there has been a lot of movement on the tracker. It missed assembly all together! Was in paint and then the next day was in Quality Control!! Stayed there for about 3 days and has now left the factory! Salesperson is off today, but have dropped him an email to see if he can confirm if that is the case.

Maybe you're getting the Ikea version. :D

Think you'll need more than a philips screwdriver for that one though. ;)

Haha!! Yes! Would hate to have to check off all the parts at the start!

My one has been sitting in the UK port for about 4 days now, was in the dealership today taking the courtesy car back (black edition Quattro avant in Java green) as our q5 was in for its service, salesman told us our new one would be here in around 10 days for us to go look over it and choose what plate we want for 1st September :)

So you get to actually choose your plate? I'm a newbie at this, first time new car buyer!

Nice!! Although you will need a lot of patience to know it is here and see it, but not pick it up until the 1st September! :fearscream: As I am car less at the moment and have a private plate, I am looking to get mine as soon as I can!!

Yes, not that I have chosen a plate for a while, but I think you get a choice of 5 or something to chose from, but am sure that someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah that sounds about right I've had the choice of about five each time I've picked up an Audi not had this with BMW or VW

Well he told me they are getting around 20 plates in and we are able to choose which one we want, as long as it's not been chosen by someone else, just the last three letters mind but better than getting stuck with something like tit or nob etc :) hoping for aeb to be honest but my chances will be slim, I didn't know they did that and was a friend that told me about it, I thought you'd just get what you were given

If we had a private plate I wouldn't be waiting until September! Can't wait to get it, I was shocked how much more responsive the steering was compared to the q5 and it also felt like it had a hell of a lot more grip! Was very impressed with the courtesy car even though it was just the 140 tdi engine!

No choice of plates for me either, not that I was that bothered TBH

Hoping for some advice. The dealer I am buying the car from is not local and so I can't pop in and so am relying on email and phone calls. I emailed the dealer on Monday evening to ask if he has a more up to date picture about where the car is in the build process. He is off on a Tuesday so wasn't expecting an immediate response, but by yesterday I still hadn't heard from him. So I rang and left a message with reception as he was away from his desk. Still nothing, rang again and left a voicemail and still nothing.

Now I don't want to be labelled as that annoying customer who is always ringing up, but equally to not even get a response via email or phone is pretty poor!! Haven't spoken to him since I paid my initial part of the deposit back in the middle of June. He has sent me a couple of emails giving me build week updates, but that has been it.

So should I ring the dealer again or should I try Audi Customer Service?

Thanks!

Try asking for the Sales Manager and see how long it takes for the sales person to get back to you ;)

Failing that Audi UK should be able to give you an idea.

Thanks @Slackworth I was about to ring and speak to the Sales Manager and then suddenly I got an email from my sales person!! Anyway have the update, the car is on the boat! So should be at the dealers in a couple of weeks. Updates promised when the car is in the UK and then is on a transporter! So I can go back to sitting and waiting!!

You'll love your Black Edition Avant. I haven't had a petrol Audi for about 16 years but all my diesels including the current V6 diesel I got 2 months ago have been faultless. Just recently come back to Audi after a 3 year flirtation with Ranfe Rover and whilst my Evoque looked stunning I still missed the Audi workmanship. Enjoy!

Car arrived with dealer on Friday!! Got the day off work on Wednesday to collect! It has only been almost 8 weeks from order to delivery, but as I am currently without a car, it has felt much longer!!

Only 2 more sleeps! :jump:
Exciting times @vickietots

I have collected it!! The collection went well on Wednesday and I am enjoying the drive. After 10 years with MINI, this seems so grown up and also ridiculously quiet, smooth and rattle free!! The only niggle I gave, isn't a show stopper, but it's lack of album art. Not quite sure why not although I am suspecting the cable, but hard to work out from reading threads on here.

Not many photos as I have been enjoying it too much so far.

What is the part code on the cable you have currently?

According to the parts catalogue, the latest Lightning cable for MMI 3G+ is 4F0 051 510 AL.

Nice! I too couldn't get the album art but then swapped the cable and it works fine. My wife also had a mini before and wouldn't go back after experiencing the refinement of an Audi. Enjoy!

Yep, that's the one I have. Strange that album art is not working then??

Haha! Thanks! I wonder why you like the colour. It's booked into my detailer next week, just finalising what he is going to use. So hopefully the finish will be looking almost as good as yours soon.

Thanks! Oh yes, the ride in the minis had got better, but compared to this and it's on 19s it is amazing!!
