Sometimes when pulling off I get a vibrating usually when the car is hot. Could a worn snub mount be the cause?

Its not the clutch or DMF as these are new and have been checked

Where do you feel the vibrations coming from......pedals, steering wheel, car body, gear stick?

Snub mount would not cause those vibrations just when hot......it would do it all the time.

Have you check it and also your engine mounts which could be leaking and getting extra soft when the engine is hot making them more plyable.

Hmmm you could be on to something there. I do have a mount that has leaked.

I'm going to change the snub first anyway as this is cheap and easy DIY. Then ill get the engine mounts done. Hopefully that will cure it. Was doing it today again and its getting more violent.

Good test to find out if it's a engine mount .. take car for a drive and make it stall if you here a bang then it's the engine mount

easy way to test is handbrake on bonnet up have someone watch the engine as you bring the clutch up to the biting point normally you will get a bit of movment but with failed engine mounts you will see a large amount of movement

Did this yesterday. Engine dips LOADS at the front! Would this be snub or other 2 mounts?

It'll be one of the side mounts not the snub, from memory one side is solid and the other is liquid to dampen engine vibrations. Replaced both of mine with solid b5 RS4 mounts to save ever needing to replace again, also replaced the snub with aa 2.5tdi one as it's more solid so in theory shouldn't perish as easily.

Changed both mounts and snub. Although car feels much better, nice and tight when driving, it has not fixed my issue. In first and reverse especially when HOT I'm still getting shaking, vibrating when pulling away. I've noticed the idle also has a strong shake. When revved a little it seems to "wobble" then more revs it will smooth out. I also think sometimes my car is "off" power and sluggish.

Interestingly I found this http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/archive/index.php/t-11180.html describing my exact same problem I have. He fixed his with new coilpack and plugs. Now as I have a TDI could my problem be related to a knackered injector loom? Any thoughts?

Nothing found on a VCDS scan. Is there anyway to diagnose injectors/loom malfunction with VCDS? Measuring blocks?
