lol. You guys are funny with the whole "wrong side" thing. But I gotta admit, I totally understand. Still to this day every time I see a right hand drive car like in a Top Gear video or some other YouTube review or whatever and see people driving on the wrong side of the road, I still think it looks so awkward. Interesting how much familiarity conditions people. :smile new:

Your right Dude. It is a familiarity thing. Or conditioning thing thats imprinted. We drive on the right, same as UK. These days I pretty much only drive European cars. Both personally and at work. I grew up driving either Japanese cars or locally built vehicles with all the control stalks around the other way to Euros. I still to this day, and I'm in my early 50s have to sometimes think about, is this the indicator? or is this the wiper stalk? Sometimes its just a split second. Haven't turned the wipers on when indicating for quite a while now, but I'm sure as Alzheimers sets in.........what side of the road do we drive on?

I think you'll find that we drive on the 'correct' side of the road :smirk:

from way back in the day when folk on horseback used to keep left so that their swords didn't clash with people coming in the opposite direction, swords being worn on the left hip and therefore being out of the way of friendly other folk.

Clashing swords = bad form.

......It was also easier to draw your sword and give the other bloke a good bashing with it (in your right hand) if he was on your right.

It's you colonial hicks that started going down the wrong side of the road, probably due to lack of any real history, or honour :whistle2:

Does anyone here have the skills to Photoshop these wheels to match the Glacier White paint?

I am thinking about powder coating my wheels white to match the paint but it would be very cool to see it Photoshopped first.

Thanks if anyone can!

:)

Well right now those are the wheels in the only pictures I have of the car.

I might be trading for peelers but I wouldn't mind seeing the white 19 inch rotors too! :)

Sorry Dude I'm not much with photoshopping etc but I think white Rotors would look really weird. There are guys here who could "create" them. In my opinion rotors are a really good looking wheel as is. That said, so are peelers. Bit more complex, therefore bit harder to keep clean. Especially in the chrome finish. I have an aversion to constant wheel cleaning but I hate dirty wheels. So ceramic pads for me. Spend your money on these.

By the way. What does Certified to a 100K mean on your title of this thread? Is this a warranty thing?

lol. I'm not even slightly worried about it bud. I love the white on white look and I see no reason to believe that it won't look good on an S4. I have already inquired about metallic powder coating the wheels and most places are saying they can come so close to "matching" the Glacier White that you would never know it wasn't from the factory. With the red interior and the black optics package I think it will look super fresh.

Yes 6/yr 100,000 mile Audi Certified Warranty.

Wish we got 6 years. Thats twice the time length of ours mate. The wheels? It'd be a boring place if we all liked the same thing eh. I hope I didn't offend dude.

Try @BrennanTDi . He did a cracking Photoshop job for me. He's busy though, so you might have wait a day or two.

You should see the certified checklist they just sent me. It's exhaustive to put it mildly. They really do hand mark hundreds of checks before they can call it Audi Certified. I have never seen one before I received mine in the mail yesterday.

And no man. You did not offend me. Takes more than that. lol. Yes good thing we all like different stuff eh? I know most people are moving toward the darker wheels these days (Anthracite, Smoke Grey, Black.. etc) but I really strongly prefer very light colored wheels.

Have a look at the same rotors (well... RS5 get glorious 20 inchers, but still same general design) in pure bright silver. I think it really brings the wheels to life personally. In fact, they almost look white. Now tell me that doesn't look PROPER!

And here is an upclose look of a 19 inch finished in bright silver (same as the RS5 above).

I think this finish looks really nice on these wheels.

Check it out!!! Somebody from a photoshop forum saw my request and made this for me!!

I think I would go for a little less grey tone in the center area but still this gives me a GREAT idea of what the color matched wheels would look like on my S4.

I think it could look VERY cool if done well.

Dude, I really like the silver. I had rotors on my previous. These were the titanium finish on a Glacier White sedan. Looked slick being a subtle contrast. I really like the bright chrome against the Blue RS5. I've only seen a couple with the chrome grille rather than the ever present black honeycomb. The silver lifts up everything to me.

Sorry, its a no from me. White wheels just don't do it for me
+ the amount of brake dust the brakes give off on a S4 you'll be cleaning them every day IMO

As always, just my opinion of course ... :hi:

no worries mate. all opinions welcome. :rugby: i think the brake dust thing could be said about any light colored wheels like even the silver rotors on that blue RS5. and anyway a bottle of brake dist cleaner like BDP or whatever will help.

from my own personal experience of the Supra I just sold and sent off to Pennsylvania, I really enjoyed having the white on white look. Never minded brake dust. Always got loads of compliments everywhere I went too.

If I do end up going with matching white wheels, it will definitely be a unique S4!

yah and wanna hear a secret?:sneakiness:

I've never driven an Audi! Yes that's right folks. Not even a friend's Audi. Ever!

I am relying solely on internet videos, articles, research on forums like this one. This S4 is a 100% blind buy. lol. Well, maybe 99%. I did sit in an S4 on the showroom floor. :shame:

So when I sit in the driver's seat and turn the key to my new S4, it will be my first time ever. I'm like a real Audi virgin hahahah. :highly amused:

You guys pretty confident I'll like it?

Well I'm amazed - surely you were offered a test drive?
The only thing I didn't initially like was the SS seat, until I got it adjusted properly (there are more adjustments than you might expect).

It's here!

and WOW! This thing is stooooopid awesome!!! :scared2:

Pictures just simply do not do these S4 cars justice. The fit and finish is impeccable.

And I love driving it. Feels like a fighter jet or something. It's wonderful.

I'm going to clean her up really nicely and take a proper photo shoot when I get the time.

Here's a couple pics I snapped from inside my garage so I couldn't get many of the exterior... :s4addict:
