Realised this morning spare key did not even get a cheap dealer key fob, no top up bottle of oil in the boot and there were no MMI cables supplied although we had agreed on being supplied cables for both Iphone 4 and 5.

Mailed senior sales manager this morning about MMI cables and not got a response yet...Ho Hum

Did you check for the oil bottle under the floor? That's where mine was.

I don't trust anyone any more.......

I would check the policy to make sure it covers diamond cut alloys, which the standard S3 ones are as been other posts on here about diamond cuts not being covered on the Audi allow policy

Yep and was not there. Will wait for response to the more important incorrect order issue and then going to let rip on all the minor niggles, I have been polite to the point of falling over backwards to now. Even my daughter commented on how calm I have been over the whole situation, but feel an eruption brewing.

Hope the weather clears to allow you to have some fun at the weekend and dont forget some pics when you get the chance
 
Picking up around 4 I think. Waiting for salesman to confirm.

Not sure what the quality of pic will be like. Took them on my iPhone, and tried to upload, only to be told the files were too big for the server. Had to email to myself, reduce resolution and do it all again!

You cant retrofit ILP although some on here have retrofitted some parts.

I am waiting for the dealer head to get back on Monday to get a response as the only option they have is to order me a new car (or take one from elsewhere in the group to the same/better spec). It is a very expensive mistake because they forget a £190 option. but principle is the same as if color is incorrect or manual gearbox specced instead of auto

Well collection went really well, no dramas here except they got two letters on the private plate the wrong way round! Lol

Got some high end nice smellies for my missus courtesy of a contract our dealer has with a local firm, umbrella, mug and a tank of go-fast juice :)

F*cking amazing car, although don't think I got over 50, weather appalling!! Only thing I'm slightly irked with is they seem to have done away with the rear armrest/cup holders unless I'm being incredibly thick? ;) B&O sounds absolutely top drawer.

Jeez, this thing goes like the bleedin clappers in Comfort mode................so much to look forward to..................... :hubbahubba:

I think you need to be slightly more dynamic, Simon. :winky face:

I noticed the lack of rear armrest/cup holders too... Fortunately I don't intend to spend too much time frequenting the rear seats.

Agree about the B&O. My cheesy 80s soft rock tunes sound great. It's almost as if Kenny Loggins is sitting on my lap and singing in to my ear.

One thing which I didn't realise until today... It has a rickydiculously small fuel tank!

I just didn't want to stop driving it, it's a total blast and an incredibly smooth cruiser too. Can't wait to get out there again tomorrow, weather supposed to be much better......... ;)

Oh don't you worry mate, dynamic will come! Seriously though the roads were unbelievably greasy today, I nearly lost my Rav 4 on a slow bend at lunchtime and I've been driving that sucker for 10 years ;)

Thought my front speakers were dead until I realised I had the fader the wrong way round!! Lol

You couldn't handle the power of the Rav4?? How are you going to handle 300 Audi gee gees?? ;-)

Have you got Audi Connect up and running? I'm really impressed with it. The OH has commandeered the Twitter for her political tweet stuff, but the other bits are all mine. Really like the petrol station app in particular.

Definitely couldn't handle the Rav4 mate, that thing was an animal!!

No, haven't tried Audi Connect yet, need to sort a sim out. Gotta say I'm really impressed with the MMI, so responsive even with a large collection of music it flies through the menus. Had the missus with me today but tomorrow I'm gonna blast the f*ck out the B&O ;)

Dunno how I'm gonna sleep tonight, absolutely buzzin!! A few drinkies me thinks.......... :)

Aye, it's really quick. Much better than the system in the Shaguar.

If you're on Vodafone it might be worth giving them a call for a data sharing sim. I've got a 20gb per month iPhone contract, and they sent me a sim which will share said allowance for the princely sum of £6 per month. Much better than having to top up a PAYG each month. Works like a dream too.

I'll probably go with giffgaff mate, I think the data only sim is £7 or something like that. O2's coverage is pretty decent ;)

Happy doesn't even come close mate :)

For me the waiting dragged a bit at the beginning but overall it goes a lot quicker than you might think! Hope you enjoy yours when it comes ;)
 
Congrats on the new Team Sepang S3 My car is on the way to the dealer, only just over a month to pick up time. Looking forward to it!!

I didn't go for the through load option for the rear seats as I figured the split fold would be sufficient, it was only afterwards I realised you only get the rear armrest and cup-holders as part of the through load option. Guess you guys fell foul of this too?

P.S. 5 weeks on Wednesday :)

I'm afraid so mate!! Assumed the armrest was standard, but heyho the kids are over it already :)

I've done 89 miles in a week, and now I'm away for a bit so unable to drive her at all! She's tucked up safe and sound now though waiting for my return. A full tank of V power and a trip to get the Bilsteins fitted when I return.

I'm going to start a thread on the detailing in a few weeks so will keep you posted.

On another note, this new car feels much more responsive than my previous it has a better growl and farts on the up changes in M mode.... But maybe I just like the paddles more!
 
Decided to pick my car up much sooner, since it's arrived 3 weeks early and would have to sit at the dealer for 6 weeks! I'd rather be driving it Just picking a private plate to put on it

This blooming noise again!
Never had this on another other of my cars, but that's 2 S3's which both sound like this. How can the wipers be adjusted, does anyone know?

P.s fully clean screen before you say.
 
****** hell man!! Mine have had plenty of practice, particularly on collection day, and they sure as f*ck don't sound like that!

In fact they are pretty much whisper quiet. First set of blades I've had in years that actually work properly; )
 
My wiper blades sounded pretty similar.....Windows cleaned with Autoglym glass polish, WD40 wiped over the blades and squirt into the wiper arm housing and all is good

Leicester Audi. They've been really good so far so hoping that the spec is correct and nothing ruins that! 2nd September collection date long been arranged and the time is beginning to go more quickly it seems :)

Yeah the second half of the waiting time went much quicker for me :)

My God you'll enjoy it when it does come. Phenomenal piece of kit that seems to get better every day...... ;)
