What's the difference and what's best for normal use? I have mine left in comfort as I want the best ride but is auto any better to get this can't work out ? Views....

I find auto works well as comfort can be too bouncy over speed bumps. With drive select on auto the gear change can be a bit snatchy so prefer to use individual with all on comfort apart from suspension on auto.

Did you spend a few days on one setting then start to make changes or one or two days on each setting to assess them all?

I figured I may try the first few days on comfort, or probably even efficiency which may help with running the car in properly! Then build up to a few days each on auto and dynamic then I can decide if I wish to use individual to tailor the settings on an ongoing basis.

I tend to keep it in comfort for normal day to day driving and switch to dynamic suspension when I want to do some spirited driving. Don't like having the car decide what the dampeners are doing.

So I have a manual S3 and I have everything set to Dynamic other than suspension that is now set to comfort ... but its still quite firm especially I think back of car ..... was hoping it may be little softer and more like the normal 'sport' suspension ......

Not that scientific I'm afraid, just my daily trip to work along the Fosse way/B4100 over poor road surfaces and rumble strips - just toggled each mode (using * on the steering wheel) until I got to the next patch of poor surface until I found which worked the best. Tend not to really push on so can't comment which is ultimately the best dynamically

I keep it in Dynamic for Mag suspension here - I find comfort to be too soft with jiggling and rolling body motions on our highways here in Vancouver. Comfort is saved for family trips. Slow and careful over the speed bumps though!

Just to share my own experience. I have 19" rims with mag ride and I find that the tire pressure plays a big part in affecting the comfort level.
I followed the Audi recommended tire pressure of 42 and 39 psi for front and rear tires respectively and find that they are too firm.
Read from other forums and found that other owners seems to be happy with around 39-40 for front and 3 psi lower for the rear.
I tried them out and settled with 39 front and 36 rear for my S3 sedan.

ps: I am not on lowering springs yet... will see how that affects the ride when they are here next week.

^^ Will be interested to hear how you get on with lower springs. Which have you gone for ?

I have ordered the H&R Sport springs. The workshop was trying to convince me to go with VWR as he claimed from their experience, VWR is more comfy then H&R. But I couldn't find any S3 owner review using the VWR springs. I know VWR design and tested their springs on the Golf but not sure if they tested it on the S3 Sedan or hatchback for that matter.

I've also been toying with Eibach and H&R. What's the drop on those ones ?

Well I have my 18inch Rims as per the sticker on the door for up to 3 passengers as there is only ever me I the car so

38PSI front and 35PSI back ....

The car came overinflated but I have learnt to always check oil, tyres, coolant, brake fluid yourself after collection !

Ok, got my H&R Sports springs fitted earlier this week and after few days of driving it, I must say it's a pretty good upgrade overall both in form and function. The drop is just right on my mag ride S3 with 19" wheels. Overall handling is improved especially the comfort mode which can be a bit bouncy with stock springs.
