Hi guys,

see there's a few options for adding folding mirrors to an 8P2 (I've a '57 S3), just wondered the best path to take - I'm wanting them to fold in/out when the alarm operates.

Do I get hold of folding 8P2 mirrors, or go for the later mirrors with the indicators in them - I do like how they look!

Obviously I'd also need to change my mirror switch to give me the extra switch position for manual folding. Any other wiring etc needed to get them to fold with the alarm? (I have VCDS for coding). Maybe a base-plate to fit the different mirror?

Finally, what would be the rough cost assuming I do the labour myself? Would sell my existing S3 mirrors to help pay for this mod!

have you spoken to @Ash187 about this? I seem to remember him offering a custom relay module that adds this functionality.

finding it hard to make up the kit for someone else to install, its so involved and there are so many wires that need to be soldered into the car.. only other way is to get male and female audi plugs with repair pins to make it more plug and play although that drives up the cost of the kit.
