Hi All.

I'm the new boy to this site, should this not be the right place to post please let me know. I have a few questions for those in the know that would really help before I order. Any answers are a huge help, I have never had an Audi or spent this much on a car (very excited) and don't want to get it wrong.

1 - Is is cheeper to get windows tinted by someone else, would you recommend it, or done it?

2 - Can you paint the brake callipers red later? Would this be cheeper? Anyone done this?

3 - A heard someone where about the sports exhaust as a single option (instead of the Mag ride suspension). Have any of you done this, how much was it, is Mag ride worth £700??

4 - Has any one ordered in Scotland and had a Discount? If so where?? My dealer says no one is giving one.

5 - Anything I should have? or is a must? Or anything I should definitely not get!!

1. I would get the audi window tiniting. Price is similar to aftermarket and will be better quality.
2. You can yes. There are companies who can do it for you. Might not end up being much cheaper as you will have to take the calipers off and send them away to be done.

3. Sports exhaust on it's own is available in other countries, but not the UK. General consensus from most test drivers (inc. me) and lucky early owners is the mag ride is a good option (and leagues ahead of the old system on the Mk1 RS3, this initially had people worried about spec'ing it on the Mk2 before they had actually experienced it). In short, the Dynamic Pack is a good buy!

Ordered from Aberdeen, zero discount due to the high demand. I am told if I you were to order from them now it would be March the very earliest now.

June 2016!! At Stirling, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.
 
£325 for the red callipers is a joke! I did spec it though :eek:

1. Speccing privacy glass will give you tinted glass. Going aftermarket will just be a film applied to the glass and it'll work out to be th same anyway. So you're best of getting the real deal.

3. You can't spec the sports exhaust separately, go for the dynamic pack as the reviews are rating it highly.

4. I've spoke to 11 dealers now and they all have offered nil discount and I won't see the car till next year. So it's upto you if you want to wait till discounts are available or order now

Thanks for the reply. I have been ringing around today. One dealer is looking at a discount and another, my local. Says if someone else does a discount, let them know and they will try and better it. I will let you all know how it goes. Most likely get nothing.
 
As the guys above note, order all from Audi and not after market. In terms of deals, I was being quoted a great deal from a broker on an outright purchase. Only reason I didn't go with them was due to never having used a broker before and nervous of where my deposit was going. Ended up getting another great deal elsewhere in Scotland. Was given a fixed trade in based on December originally at a number I was liking! Past experience for me has been that Glasgow have been poor, Stirling and Aberdeen both good.

June?? Ouch!! I was in Aberdeen Audi about 3 weeks ago having a second test drive of the RS3. Dealer said then it was March so another 3 months on top of that waiting list and only a few weeks have passed. I am led to believe I will have the first one out of Aberdeen and thats a build week 40!
 
I went to order from my local (aberdeen) but there was to be no discount and was going to be january for delivery, called around and ended up ordering from stoke, got a very healthy discount and will be collecting the car 1st o sept,. Supposedly there are still slots for sept available with them but have been informed otherwise on the forum so dont 100% know for sure just going by what dealer said.
 
I didn't spec the privacy glass and red calipers, wish I had now, will be doing both aftermarket now as my dealer told me a few days ago that now changing my spec could result in my car being pushed back to next year

If the brake Callipers were £150 I would go for it, but £350 (that's a guess) is far to much for some red paint! But still going to spec it. Damm you Audi!
 
Here's hoping that's not the reason I don't have a BW yet! It is dear but retrospective could make the logo disappear!
