My first Audi (A3 TDI S-LINE)

Few updates to catch up with..

Finally got my facelift rear lights on and coded!

And most importantly some of you may have noticed my thread regarding my turbo which hadn't been sounding too clever so took it off the road and booked it in for a hybrid conversion!

Here it is before fitting!

Also had my EGR delete kit fitted while I was at it!

Then time for a custom remap on rolling road to suit!

All the work carried out by JCPerformance in westbury Wiltshire! If your local give them a shout they certainly know their stuff!

No major updates since the hybrid, although just after I ran the turbo in and had an oil change a stupid badger decided to jump out in front of me causing a reasonable amount of damage!
It smashed the fog light out, fog grill, smashed a hole in the inner wheel arch and cracked the paint on my freshly painted bumper!

Finally got round to getting all the replacement parts

Then to cheer myself I bagged myself a set of R32 345mm front brake set up as I'm packing a few more horses now, so been prepping them ready for a coat of paint, also ordered a full HEL braided hose kit to go with them!

Just gotta get these and bumper in for paint and fit the new parts then that should do me for now!

Looking good mate, real good progress.....

Where did you get the EGR reducer gasket from?

Hi mate it's a genuine part so try your local Seat dealer!

Stunning same as mine but mine isn't an s-line lol stunning and tastefully done nothing OTT what are the back wind deflectors like been told that they come off to easy? So was only going to do the front?

Looks good buddy, the new brakes going the same colour or you changing it up?
Bet the hybrid is keeping the smile on your face!

Hi mate glad you like it, tbh the rears are pretty poor and did fall out a few times so I'm just running the fronts!

Cheers mate they are going the same colour, only way to go with black in my opinion!
Yes loving the boost mate especially the smoke! Haha

Brakes are almost ready to fit just another coat on the carriers and going to get a fresh set of pads to put in them!

Can't wait to get these sat behind the BBS's

Those brakes are looking brilliant, come up nice! love the colour
Just had S3 fronts on mine, massive improvement - not that I have the performance to warrant such a thing!

Update time again!

Got my HEL hoses ready for my brake upgrade!

Due to the weather starting to get a bit miserable iv had enough of cleaning the BBS's and opted to fit the Fat Fives already, gotta say I do rather like them!

Got bored one day and decided to paint the engine cover rings!

On a not so good note iv developed a mystery coolant loss problem which even my main dealer can't diagnose and it's starting to worry me a little, hopefully be something silly!

I love fat fives but something doesn't look right to me, either the back needs to go up a bit or bring the front down.

I think it's the front that needs to go down, just doesn't look quite right to me

Couldn't agree more mate, even with my bbs's the fronts not low enough but that is right doe far as it can go!
I'm looking into getting some custom springs made up to give me more adjustment!

Strange that, it's on ap's like mine right?

Yes mate fully down on front, rear still have adjusters and more to go but had to raise because of the lack of front adjustment! There's a place near me that make performance shocks and springs so seeing if they can do me a shorter set!

I totally dig the Porsche rims btw....
where did you get the front plates from?
also the oil and washer fluid caps from?
Cheers!

Hi mate yea they got a lot of attention when fitted they're long gone now though!

You mean my tinted numberplate?

You can get the Porsche caps off eBay think they're about £30ish each!

good progress dude, i'll be keeping an eye on this.

Looks really smart I liked the red wheels as was what I was thinking of doing
I got a black 3 door trying to decide what to do with it too

I have a coolant loss to but no leak.. slightly worries me too can't find it
Goes from max to min in about 1000 miles

Only gone and got myself another set of wheels! Lol

Bentley continental GT's

Fancied something new for this year so need to get them cleaned and sealed ready for some shows!

Update time...

Finally decided to go ahead and sort the coolant loss out... Turns out To be headgasket failure after 9 months of topping it up!

While it was in I had the R32 front brakes fitted along with the HEL braided hoses so in the process of bedding them in now!

Gave it its first proper clean today and starting to enjoy it again now it's felling better, hopefully have the Bentley wheels on in the next week or so!

Good work, I really like this project. Nice to know that you finally got to the bottom of the coolant loss issue, at least it wasn't the cylinder head itself, car is solid once more!

Cheers bud, not getting my hopes up just yet... Only time will tell!

So yesterday due to the weather getting nice I decided fit fit the Bentleys!

Just need to get the paintwork up to scratch now!

That looks great! I really like those Bentley wheels, the colour works well with the black bodywork and the yellow calipers. Just don't curb them!

Cheers mate, they aren't perfect anyways, few chips from tyres being stretched but good enough to run as they are for now!

Small update... Treated myself to an RS3 style grill so set about fitting it yesterday!

Didn't like the look of the tacky badge holder so machined the insides out at work!

Looks so much cleaner!

After cutting my hands to shreds finally got the old grill out and new in!

Love the final product, topped it off with a good clean ready to roll!

Car is looking very smart, I like what you have done with the grill. How is the coolant loss issue? Sorted yet?

That badge holder looks so much cleaner than mine now...should have machined it aswell when installing the grille.
You reckon the cutting could still be done with the badge holder in place or would I risk damaging the honeycomb? I probably have the same exact style grill as you do.

Thanks mate! Yea it's kept its level for a while now so fingers crossed it'll stay that way! Lol

Glad you approve, soon as I saw the holder I wasn't happy so had to have a go at it, you'll definitely want it off to do it properly... You'll need to modify the bracket that secures it too otherwise you'll see a black square behind it!

Alright guess I'll just have to remove the bumper again next weekend or so...thanks for the advice. I actually ended up putting a glossy vinyl wrap on the holder to make it match the glossy outside of the grille but it still looks kinda weird. :sadlike:

Mate, ******* love it!

What did you do with the old rims?

Similar tastes as I have everything completely blacked out, wind deflectors etc.

Yours is next level.
