I know I know , they are silly little wheels but it is what this "no spec" came with and I need to re-shoe them soon. any recommendations please? If anyone on this forum would even admit to 16" that is:wink new:
Wet weather grip is important to me, I don't do motorways, just A and B roads and country lanes.

On there now are 205/55 16 Michelin Primacy 3 at front and Primacy HP at rear

do you do a lot of mileage, country roads, motorways, town driving?

Yeah I have done plenty of Googling and looked at reviews but thought I would ask the real experts on here.

Mine are Primacy on 16s, for comfort and quietness?, and I've never had better............in 60 years of cars.

Thanks Karl, I won't be going with Contis as they were shocking in winter on my Golf on country lanes, the ESP and ABS were working overtime lol!
The Uniroyal gets some very mixed reviews if you dig a bit deeper.
Google is your friend :)

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy 2 have great reviews and a good sample size too.
I did more friendly Googling and Eagle isn't available in the UK in this size, sadly. Great tyre too!

Not in my size though, I wonder if I changed my rims for 17" I would have a better choice of rubber?
Of course who would buy the 16" ones:coldsweat:

You'd have better choice the size would be 225/45/17, would look better too.

Then you could keep the 16" wheels and put some decent winter rubber on them and keep them :)

If you really really wanted to sell someone will have them for winter tyres on here I'd bet.

Right, I will have a look through the Rimz section and see if I can find something I like!

I have the goodyear on mine and they are a good grippy tyre, i was also recommended vredesteins by my local fitter who had them on his car.
The rainsport is a cracking tyre too, ive pushed a couple of cars in the wet and they have not broken traction.

Also look at Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2

Popular wheel for our cars, strong, lightweight and doesn't break the bank.

C4N 17” x 7.5J ‘16-spoke’ design alloy wheels - I like these quite a lot - I will look out for some.
I'm guessing as OE they will fit with no problem?

In the meantime, as these may not be found for some time, I am swaying towards Uniroyal RainSport3 on the current rims as a good winter tyre choice.

Uniroyal Rainsport 3 isn't a winter choice but a wet weather tyre and it is best in class at that so you won't go far wrong.

Yes when I say winter I mean wet weather, here in London, mostly just wet in winter, unlike say Helsinki :)
