RS3 8V Orders List

Sepang with gloss back pack is the way to go!

My 1st RS3 was Sepang with the Aluminium pack which imo worked better than the Black on the Gen 1 Cars but going from the pictures I don't think it works so well this time so I've gone Black Styling Pack as well this time

Just been out on a bike ride and came across the demo car of a local dealer. Had a quick chat with sales guy who's driving it at the mo and he confirmed for his dealership anyway orders taken now will be looking at February delivery.

There may be other dealers still with 2015 allocations though.

Ordered mine at the end of May and build has slipped right back to 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!

What was your original build date?

That's my birthday if it makes you feel any better

Not sure how to take this. We have been offered a trade in value which zeros the finance on the A1 2.0 TDI S-Line, however I'm concerned it's going to make the car older with more miles and the extra money we plough in.

Not sure I follow you?
Have you been offered a deal where they clear whatever is left at whatever time the new car turns up? If so, then I guess you are saying you are building equity over the next few months and not going to get to access it?

Assuming the estimated delivery date they gave you when signing was more like ~Sept then I would be saying you want a courtesy car from that point on (and you could then sell your A1 privately in your own time for more money than trade if you wanted). Skoda did this when my Octavia vRS was delayed by 3 months.

Ordered mine on 16 June 2015... Scheduled build date 8th Feb 2016.
Order

I'm waiting to speak to my dealer, who quoted 30 Sep 2015 delivery... This could go many ways dependant on conversation. From my perspective the original contract order is void based on this significant delay.

Still no build week for me having ordered on Apr 15th. Had my first drive on Saturday and all I can say is WOW. Its been a long time since I got out of a car with a smile from ear to ear and my heart racing. An absolute weapon of a machine. I'm mentally prepared for a 2016 delivery date now, but I know it will be worth the wait. Just gives me a chance to save some more cash.

Mines back to BW 39 now, it really is quite bazar as there are very little customer deliveries scheduled for Aug and Sep . I wonder what the delay is?

I know it doesn't help you guys waiting, but I am now glad that I can't order until the end of the year as a wait like that would kill me!

Did yours go back just 1 week? Mines has been pushed back a week.

I'm sure they will change again. Mine got built a week early!

Well it's been stable at 14 Sep for a month. Before that it was stable at 7 Sep for 3 weeks. initially it was all over the place. This morning it was 21st Sep.

Must admit, no BW advised yet for me, but I don't think that there is anything else out there I want. If it's Feb as some suggest now, then I have won a watch with my trade in!

Finally placed my order, been told to expect October / November.. can't wait!! Not sure why some are heading into next year, I hope mine doesn't!!!

Sounds like you have been quoted standard lead time for the A3 range, like I was. I would recommend you expect a Feb / Mar build date... Good luck!

Expectation management! My order was placed in Apr ,and I am not expecting delivery until October.

Urgh don't say that!

On my order form it says bucket seats, although I ordered super sport seats. Anyone else's say the same?

Not that I'd complain if it turned up with buckets ha

Reading your stories I think I should buy my dealer a bottle of good single malt for pre-ordering RS3 models (two of them are already sold, one is still for sale; they said they wanted to pre-order all destined to Poland, but Audi said no and they had to leave some for other dealers in Poland). If I had to wait until February, I would probably end up ordering S3. But hey, still shorter than waiting for Porsche Macan...

Chaps.

Forgive me if I've missed something but the image below is taken from Evo Mag review and seems to show rather nice seats?! Not on config site though afaics?

Hi Terminatorx, these are the bucket seats that some press cars have. They are not available in the UK until (they say) the end of this year. Same with the ceramic brakes. You'll also find that you fancy the carbon interior but that's not planned for UK at all :(
Another Terminator on the forum? You don't do veneering as well?

Still have no build week! Exclusive order at Exeter Audi. On first day of orders.
Really starting to wish I didn't sell my much loved s3 in feb now....was expecting delivery around now at that time.
**** Audi and their descrimination against people who want to spend more and have something a little different. All I want is a damn bw

Preach Jimbo, I feel your pain pal. Seeing the original info leaking out saying that customer deliveries were beginning in July, both the dealer and I were under the impression that an order placed on First order day would probably get one of the first cars. How mistaken we were, Im mentally prepared for a 2016 car now.

Futile, I know, but I rand Audi Customer Services to see if I could glean anymore information as to why my BW appears to be slipping backwards on a week by week basis.

As expected, they were no hope at all – apart from the optimistic comment that it could still come forward as BW approaches!

They did say that the UK order book is full until end Mar 16! All dealer allocations have been shuffled around, (although they may be cancelled orders which free up the odd slot etc.

The wait continues...................

I think it's down to how much work your sales guy is willing to do. Ordered when the RS3 came on the system then cancelled because of price & no discount being offered, after seeing people getting discounts on here. Re looked at it in June & order June 21st original delivery date was next year quarter one sometime. But sales guy came back to me in like a week & said it be here September 1st

The only thing the sales guy/dealership can do is see if they have an existing car on order within the group which can be spec amended to suit your needs. So if they bother to do this and are extremely lucky then you get your situation. In general you are lumped with whatever BW (or lack there of) the system decides when you order.

Jermaine it has nothing to do with the sales guy! As soon as they push the button its out of their hands

As I have said how much work he is willing to do, looking out for car to amended for me I guess.

I think it dose like I said when my 2nd order was placed all he could tell me was, I would get it next year quarter one. Then with a little work on his part looking out for a order to amend hey presto September 1st

Yes, but it's 1% the sales guy checking and 99% luck on a car like the RS3. There aren't many floating around on order for dealers which can be amended.
It is also entirely possible you were just lucky and the factory allocated an early build week.
