Afternoon all
I'm after some help regarding a strange problem that my 2009 A3 has developed. It started with the remote locking not working on the drivers door, along with no indicator flash on operation and the interior light staying on. I have now noticed that there appears to be no power to the drivers door. So along with the locking issue I can't operate the electric window both drivers and passengers from the dual switch but also the electric mirrors. Any pointers to guide me in the right direction would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks
Adam
P.s have only just joined so apologies if this has been posted previously.

This is quite common on 8P - search the forum and you'll see. Check the wiring in the rubber boot between door and pillar and you will likely find some broken wires. Either solder them back or replace the door wiring loom - fiddly job, but relatively straightforward.

I think this has happened to everyone at least once with 8P. :D

As Leshkin said, check the wires under the rubber near the door hinges.

Quick update guys. Have finally got round to sorting this. On peeling back the rubber boot there was indeed a broken brown wire. Soldered on a length of new wire and wrapped tightly in electrical tape. Boot back on and all working! Fiddly but 15mins and I was done!
Thanks again for the advice
Adam
