So last night as I pulled up to the cinema I noticed my engine light was on......I switched off the engine and restarted it only to find it was still there? No other signs of any issues with the car ...runs OK and no concerning noises....

Called it in to my local Audi and they said the next slot they have is in 2 weeks?!!?!? I asked if I am OK to drive the car for 2 weeks with the engine light on ....they said yes that should be fine!??!!?

Surely if the car has found an issue in the engine and alerted me I should have it checked out ASAP?

My car has only just come out of the garage and is due to go back in for major work in the coming weeks ..... I am sure I will know all the staff by name soon !!

"Oh Hey David .....back again" :friends:........:hi:...........:readit:......................

Use Audi Assist to get it checked, call them out at home or roadside and say it's just come back on, and YOU aren't happy to drive it as is. You'll at least get a scan; best scenario it'll be recovered to a dealer who have a slot on standby. Happy Days! Good luck with it!

The light went off ...... Still want it checking though :redrs4:

No I haven't had my first service yet ....I am sitting at about 5.5K miles. Will be due at 10K

Call Audi Assist. I did this on my A1, fault diagnosed and fixed there and then.
No need to pay dealer a visit. Happy days, a decent system they have there.

If the engine light is on, you may drive the car. If the engine light flashes you must stop immediately and call roadside assistance.

Is the light still off ? - just wondering if you can get a VCDS scan ahead of it going to Audi may put your mind at rest.

Also out of curiosity what your cars booked in for anything turbo related ?

Light is still off and car is running OK :yahoo: ....will just get em to check it when it next goes in

I have the same yesterday, but i have the Start Stop malfunction several times in the last 2 weeks. I have the DTUK FSR but when cheking with the VCDs the fault was in a sensor that measures the altitude so the ECU manage the gas/air mix. I cleaned it and im waiting if the engine sign appear again to go to Audi. Obviously i have to previous toake out the FSR cables son my guarantee applies without trouble.
