Recommendations for an air filter for 1.9 TDI A3?

Can anyone recommend an upgraded air filter for a 2004 1.9 TDI? Is it worth upgrading?
 
No point a new paper one is perfect, unless you are going silly power.
 
As above the standard ones are very good, you won't get any more power with a performance filter unless you are north of 250bhp.
 
Ah ok fair enough, thanks guys. How about sound? Would you get a nicer sound from an upgraded filter? (please excuse my naivety, I'm new to the world of TDI)
 
Ah ok yea that's not a bad idea. Would it bring up any lights on my dash though?
 
No , to sample the sound before committing , loosen and displace the top and go for a drive .

If happy get the drill out.

No , if you do get some Christmas lights use the same drill to extinguish them .

Lol! Just displaced the air filter, didn't sound much different to be honest. Gonna have to stop being a tight **** n fit a new exhaust system
 
Never the ripper sound of a na petrol induction.

Exhausts aren't ripper either , just 1 silencer and de catted and it's still quiet .
