Finally got my turbo out today, spent 8 full days battling rusty rounded bolts etc!!!

Good new for anyone with a 2.0 bkd TDi quattro though. The turbo comes out from the top easily so no need to disconnect the propshaft and struggle to get the exhaust out. I undid the exhaust (had to cut the clamp off in the end - severely rounded capscrew) and pushed it out of the way, undid the manifold bolts and it came out form the top no problems. Its tight dont get me wrong, but its easy. What Im going to try when i put the new turbo in is open the gap up a little by putting a bottle jack in between the bulkhead and engine and moving the engine forward about 5mm. should slip through like a teenagers naughty bits into an old hookers even dirtier bits. should be plenty give in the torque link for this without disconnecting it.
