Hi Guys,

After posting about a month ago in the A4/S4 forum I was too late to order one. Was toying between S4 and S5 anyway and after selling my SQ5, I have just ordered an S5 SB BE with the following spec. hoping to collect in October.

Sepang Blue
Tech Pack High
Parking System Advanced
Adaptive Headlights
Convenience Package
Auto dimming & folding mirrors
Storage Package
Audi Drive Select
Damper Control
Audi quattro Sports Differential
Audi Hill Hold Assist

Sounds nice can i ask how you found the SQ5 as my mum has currently got 1 on order due for delivery in September along with my S3 sportback?

SQ5 is a very nice car, looks good and goes well and not too bad economy for the size and weight etc. I did 24k miles in the 13 months I had it and was surprised how long the tyres lasted (changed at 22k) and they aren't cheap at around a £1000 a set. Only downside for me was with the 21" wheels the ride was a bit harsh, must be me getting old, 35 on Thursday!! I was planning on keeping it but when I saw decent discounts on the S4/S5 and I drove one for a week I was hooked. I am sure your Mum will be pleased with it though. Did she add drive select?
Also S3 SB is a nice car too, my friend picked his up recently, very nice, quick and sounds good too.

Yes I love the S3 had 1 on demo in February for 2 days and after weighing up the pros and cons it finally goes into build on the 20th of this month can't wait. She hasn't actually put on drive select would you recommend it? Other than that it's is fully loaded even has the rear seat entertainment. I do have the drive select on my S1 seem to find myself in efficiency mode everywhere.
 
Good luck with the S3 and hope you get it asap. If she wants to make use of the exhaust sound the most and also efficiency mode I would recommend it. I found I was using efficency on the motorway and dual carriageways then dynamic for b roads and town to make the most of the sound and also help to accelerate as best as possible.

Still got about 3 months to wait, but first purchase for a minor mod on the wings already:

Looks like build week 45 so more like end of November rather than middle October so longer to wait! Ah well gives me a chance to save another month and might get some winter tyres straight on it!
