I heard on the radio the other day that there is a renaissance in colours like this including beige, fawn, gold,and...brown!! Brings back memories of Austin Princesses, Morris Marinas and Austin Allegros!!

Awful colour, makes it the B9 look even less appealing to me

not the best colour and looking at it glad I am not waiting for the B9 S4 and even though missed out ordering the B8.5 S4 I am glad I have ordered an S5.

When you get to see one alongside the existing model the current one will start to look very old. What they have done is sharpen up the lines. I think its quite clever. People say all the versions of the A4 look the same but when you put them next to each other you see the differences.

I am waiting to see what the new S4 Avant is going to offer before I decide if I want one but I haven't been put off yet.

Test driving a Tesla Model S tomorrow to see what else is available.

Will be good to see the new S4 Avant so hopefully by the time that is out I will have had my fun out of the S5 for a couple of years or so and then if it looks good can move to that.

My mate works for Tesla (mechanic) and he has driven the Model S and I think a new 4WD drive version they are releasing and he says they are really really quick

Apart from the door mirrors being attached to the door skin and two extra creases in the bonnet, it looks prettty much the same as a B8.5 to me.

Well having test driven a Tesla Model S well wow what a car. In so many ways its light years of anyone else.
I drove the 85D and the performance is astonishing, I was also driven in the P85D 0-60 in 3.2s .... when he floored it all I could say was "oh **** " I have driven an R8 V10 plus and it had nothing on this. The traction is just unreal there is nothing that can touch its instant torque and brutal power.
Handling was good too, you could feel the weight but the weight is in the floor so the centre of gravity is low.
The technology is amazing too, from autopilot, lane change, online music and voice control.

The only real downside for me is that it is quite a big car, bigger than an A6 and quite wide too.

Its given me real food for thought though, it is definitely the future.

Disappointed that they've gone with twin tailpipes on one side for the 3.0 TDi.
Perhaps the 272PS version will have the left/right pipes?

I agree. Not that having exhausts either side makes any difference to performance but aesthetics yes...

Probably part of the weight saving excercise they appear to have been on with newer cars these days. You could save several KG's by getting rid of a section of pipe and a rear silencer. Looks like they haven't gone to town with a major styling excercise for the B9. It looks very similar to the B8.

I was hoping they'd have adopted the same style twin rectangular type exhaust tips as the new A6, look very clean and smooth out the tail of the car.

B9 S4 is my next car for sure if it looks like a slightly larger, slightly faster version of my own S3 saloon ;) I think from what little I've seen they have sharpened up the old A4 shape, which in my opinion ,is just what it needed. The rear lights are too 'fat' and the tech inside will be amazing. Can't wait for TT-like wrap around screen etc
