will post pictures when i have a bit more time but here goes.
I bought my s3 in nov last year standard its a bam with leather and blue alcantara middle heated too (love having heated seats). It had a couple of split pipes one of them bein the hockey puck take off on the tip so thought oh well annoyed but was gonna fit a silicone one anyway just gotta do it sooner than expected.

So bought a cm one and fitted it then a couple of weeks later my turbo started to make a really odd noise took it back to garage for them to look at left it with them had a phone call later saying they wasnt going to even look at it as i have changed the tip.I wasnt happy told him the one sold with the car was split and it was still in the boot if he wanted to look at it.They still refused so i went to pick it up later fuming still.

I spoke with bill @badger5 he said the turbo could be surging so i checked with an obd reader to see what boost i had and sure enough @4.5k went from 8 psi up to 20 oops.I was told when i bought the car it had a brand new turbo it did but it was a chinese one and not an oem one bill said surge would of been caused by the wastegate hole being too small.

So i managed to get hold of a known 2nd hand oem unit.So i booked in with bill so he could fit the turbo for me and then i saw an exhaust come up for sale on facebook from gops full 3"turbo back with 200cell cat and milltek rear too good a price to turn down.As luck would have the exhaust was at bills already waiting to come off gops car so i asked bill if he could fit exhaust whilst doing my turbo.

I dropped it off to him last sunday and said if the turbo and exhaust go on no problems then could he map it at the same time.Well as its me something had to wrong egt prob had snapped and rocker gasket needed doing and also did oil pick up too.So no map but i picked up car today and it all works turbo doesnt make a god awful noise anymore and it boosts properly and with the exhaust fitted it sounds awesome too :).

next on my list is going to be the front mount then just go to stage 2 straight away :)
pics to follow

oh dear as picture would show i think my iphone camera is broken lol

after some thinking and not having any proof of clutch been done before i have decided that i will get stage 1 mappings then see how the clutch is so i have booked in to badger5 for bill to do his magic june 30th wont come quick enough.
Have also noticed that under hard breaking i have a judder so thinking my discs might be warped they have a little lip on them so gonna get some nice new ones :)

The oem clutch can take quite a bit. I'm running a hybrid k04, and my clutch has been perfect over the last year. I wouldn't worry about it.

Car is now on 157k I know standard clutch will be fine just unsure of condition of mine as I have no idea if/when it's ever been changed

Looks like your headlights are yellowing a bit, give them a good going over with plenty of t cut on a damp cloth, it brought mine up a treat, make sure you mask off the paintwork first, then give them good coat of wax to stop them oxidising again.

Not done much as been on a little holiday with the family but when I got back had the weekend off so got fitted new discs and pads all round the rears that came off were goosed so good that they now done not done any hard breaking as of yet as still bedding in but they do feel sharper my passenger window started playing up after reading a few threads saw that it might be the clips on the regulator so I have a new regulator to go on which hopefully I will have time to do tomorrow

If you look around, you'll find some threads that describe how to bed in new pads. They all say to do several hard stops, get the pads smoking basically, and then drive around without braking to cool them down for a while. This'll increase brake effectiveness and save on disc life.

Little update I have now taken out the symphony 6 disc changer head unit and fitted a kenwood ddx42 double din head unit I used the a4 fascia surround which as expected required a little modding to fit I got a pc9-408 but it was the wrong lead and had to get a different one but it looks awesome and sounds good too will upload pics later

Nice neat job there buddy.
Thanks wasn't to bad has to cut some of the back off and took 3-4mm of the bottom of the fascia I am pretty Ham fisted but took my time with the bottom as I knew it would be on show couple of bits u can see where it's been cut but sat in the drivers seat u can't tell at all

Little update I saw a lad selling some Avus wheels close to where I live so went down in the car to pick them up today they are white could do with a refurb but I think mine are in better condition so might put them on and get mine done also it's getting close to mapping day Tuesday here I come more boosts :)

Well today was the day of mappings :) so went down to badger5 and bills hooks up the smoke tester and I have a split hard plastic in and out on the check valve behind the heatshield was a pain but bill fixed it. Then it was time for mapping to start he did the standard power run which did ok made 228bhp so bill took his laptop away and as I looked back at the car noticed that the drivers front was flat. On further inspection turned out it had a screw in it from my work but I didn't have a spare I had left my other wheels at home to get balanced before I put them on the car. So Bill had a space saver in the unit and swapped a rear for the front and put the space saver on the rear Bill did his thing and it made 265bhp with 248ft/lb which I was really happy with. I just couldn't exploit the new power on the way home being restricted to 50mph on the space saver. Once I got home I have sorted the other wheels and they are now on the car so I will put pictures of graphs and wheels up later

With white wheels fitted not the best up close but passable at 20 yards just means I can send mine off for a refurb

Looks like the screws VAG use to secure the bumper to the inner arch

<tuffty/>

Lol I am a dryliner they are the wafers we use for ceilings and partitions

Well I went to pick up some bits for the car today I bought a fmic from @drstuf wellycooler elbows already welded on came with crash bar so should be a simple fit also my headlight switch was worse for wear so I bought one off drstuf as u can see not nice slightly different black but still a huge improvement on what was there

And fmic hopefully will get chance this week to fit

Nice! Hope the exhaust sounds as good as it sounded on mine!

gops i cant believe how quiet it is not a complaint if it aint on full chat cant hardly hear it but its def aided the mappings so no complaints from me

It is pretty hush on idle.. It sounds quiet from the drivers seat but it's actually pretty loud outside on full chat! The manifold made it louder too.

Yeah when I was at bills I stood behind to see how loud it was outside the car it's quite loud 4ft from it at 6.5k in 4th

Well I fitted the front mount I bought after work today actual core went on with no fuss had more trouble with horn and refitting bumper but got it on and about 7 miles later ones of the pipes blows off couldn't fix at the side of road so unplugged the maf and then drove home too tired to attempt to fix tonight so will fix tomorrow
