There's been an update to Spotify and/or the android OS and it means that the buffer bar now works in our A3's via Bluetooth.

This was previously one of my pet hates as it used to be an empty bar with 0.00 either side. It now knows the track length and tracks it. Something I really missed moving from apple.

Simple things eh! But it put a smile on my face today :)

So it's a happy Friday feeling for you:) x

I noticed this yesterday when I was in the car and thought I was tripping haha.

Hi guys picked up the car last week and my Spotify doesn't show the seconds moving still.

Was just curious to know what Bluetooth version your car is running (can be found under the same section where software version is found in the settings menu) .

Trying to see if this was a car related or Android or Spotify app related issue.

I'll check for you in the morning, is your phone and Spotify up to date as well?

That's interesting, could I ask what Bluetooth version your audi is running and also what version of Android your using

Android 5.0.2 on a Samsung S6e, S3 left the factory late January, will check it's version tomorrow.

My car version is also 4160. Latests version of Spotify too.... Although my phone is only running kitkat (4.4.4) so the fix may be from lollipop... Will see if I can get hold of a phone with lollipop and then we can have a decisive answer on here :)

Bluetooth v4160 on Android 5.0.2 - went 0/2 today with the progress bar. sometimes it starts working on its own, but not today. It does, however, 'autoplay' which is new. Spotify would pause on my phone when I shut the car down, but now it starts up again and begins playing the previous track when I start the car again. It does take a while for the Bluetooth stuff to synch.

Somehow I've lost my contacts - I'll have to figure that out.

I've got a fairly stripped S3; mag/led/19"/red calipers/Misano and none of the driver aids/options/tech packs.

I have a solution to your contacts problem. Seems like some how you permissions have changed. Easiest way is to go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and delete the car as a known device. Then pair the two again and you should be asked to grant access to the phone book after a few minutes of connection. If it doesn't work try deleting both the car and phone from each others known lists and re pair the devices and you should be asked the question. If a box pops up that says don't ask again make sure u tick that too and it shouldn't ever reset the permission. Sorry if you already knew this just trying to be helpful :)

Thanks - contacts were all there a few days later all on their own. New problem appears, seems the Bluetooth on a new Android Wear watch is interfering with the Bluetooth streaming from the phone to the car :(.
