Ok, i was driving the car the other day when it was seriously hot, everything was working fine... pulled into do some shopping and once i returned the car was struggling to idle...

I have since changed all of coil packs and the maf sensor... to no effect! ***... im now stumped, could if be the timiing regulator inside the air box...?

Any ideas peeps...?

My mate had a bad idling problem which yesterday was sourced to a bad Lamba pre cat one through cant remember if AGU is pre or post cat though

Little update, when Maf sensor is plugged in the car struggles to idle and the brake pedal is solid...
Maf unplugged the car hunts or idles at 2000rpm...

How can I check? Can you run diagnostics to find the problem?

If the brake pedal is solid it might be a idea to check the vac pipe to the servo is still in one piece.

Look under the inlet and you'll see a hose coming off the bottom of it and runs across to the right hand side of the block, these are prone to splitting.

06A103221C is the part number if you google it you can see the hose I mean.

Give the throttle body a clean, see if that helps.

Pipe under the Inlet manni is a common one if its never been changed. Maf. Clean throttle body and do the adaption. Failing that boost leak somewhere I reckon

Changed my mates pre cat Lamba sensor got the code cleared and it runs perfect, he was having major idle problems

Diagnosed...

The bolt holding the air temp sensor on the inlet had decided to jump ship, thus when the car just up and died on me today, i popped the hood to find the sensor not in it rightful place. Plus one of my capping/blanking bolts on the bottom of the inlet manifold had also decided to jump ship along with the jubilee holding it in place... Needless to say the old girl is now purring like a beut and boosting like a train...
